February 18, 201610 yr Hello fellow pilots ! I am conveying a Turbine Duke from America to Europe. For the first leg of my trip, I took off from Shefferville (CYKL, Canada) to Nuuk (BGGH, Greenland). About 800 nm of which 600+ over the cold waters of the Northern Atlantic Ocean. The first pic below shows the flightplan a few minutes after starting the engines in the freezing cold morning mist of Canada.
February 18, 201610 yr Nice trip! Thanks for sharing! What weather radar you are using, if this is one beside the gtn? Klaus Schmitzer i7-14700KF 5.6GHz Water Cooled /// ZOTAC RTX 4070 TI Super 16GB /// 32GB RAM DDR5 /// Win11 /// SSDs only DCS - XP12 - MSFS2020

February 18, 201610 yr Author Thank you all for your kind and encourageing commentsThe installation of the weather radar is pretty straightforward, provided you have Activesky Next installed.I know that autoquoting may be seen as a strong sign of self-esteem but I already detailed the installation in a previous post  It is limited to ASN users. If you have ASN : - download the weather radar gauge from the library http://goo.gl/oR8Pel - setup your Royal Turbine for 2 GTN units (Realair Tool), but do not enable the 2nd GTN to save performance (F1 tool) - modify your panel.cfg as below, where xx is the number following your last gauge (it should be 20 if you did not modify your panel.cfg previously) Quote gaugexx=RolasnRadar!ORadGauge, 398,563,390,460, sweep|beam|icing|nogps This integration perfectly fits and works, but you have to click on the radar screen as there is no button. Upper right tunes the radar range, upper left the angle of scan, and left middle cycles between power off / test mode / normal mode.
