Yeah, they should close it, as it's turning into quite a PR snafu. I find it strange that the whole team seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth and couldn't post a simple "yes" or "no" to the before Christmas question, considering how many people were hanging on that possibility. This could've been handled way better than it is (not) being handled right now.

Well please keep in mind the PMDG is around the world team and not in one location. Plus they also have a christmas to spend wth family and friends. they jave labored hard on this new addon and deserving of a break. Its christmas and they need time off as well. I dont blame them for disappearing. If they didnt they couldn't get a break at all.

Well, I was aware that he was maybe not too serious, but let's not end up arguing about that, but rather looking forward to a (hopefully) soon released MD-11, shall we? :(

I think the words PMDG used were that they were aiming to get the MD11 out before Christmas, not that they actually would.This thread seems to be a perfect example of why Level D decided to release absolutely no information regarding their 757. I fear that in time, PMDG will come to the same conclusion, due to an impatient minority of potential customers (after all, we haven't actually paid for a FS9 MD11 yet).

This is the most fun I have had reading a thread for quite some time. I agree that maybe. Just maybe some of you have gotten a bit OUT OF CONTROL. :( Please let's try to at least keep it civil. I doubt we will hear from the folks at PMDG until after today. With any luck, we will see the MD11 by weeks end next week. :(

:( hy good day, I would respectfully not misunderstand me ....... there is nothing wich I have to read,I've never talked about, or request , a release date,I am not interested if it will be released today tomorrow or in the 15 aug.,mine was only a simple question and a simple observation,if making a simple question could generate all this protective effect in you I am sorry but there is nothing to defend because nobody is attacking the PMDG, I'm grateful to PMDG for all that they do, I'm happy if they suspend the release to stay at home with their families.If PMDG didn't want to receive questions or opinions they should not make an open forum but a closed announcement, and if nobody from PMDG staff writes in this forum to stop posting I do not see why have to make we say this by you...we wish PMDG all well so not Walk as if you were the only respectful friends because we are as much.......bye to all and have a nice day to all the PMDG comunity..... :(

Obviously, that did not happen and we'll be releasing later than we were shooting for.This is precisely why we don't usually talk about this stuff - I would not expect that we'll be discussing anything like this again in the future, something always comes up when we do and it's better for us to just not say anything until the product is ready to go.

Ryan, I have been reading reading all the post on this subject and I could not agree more.I for one have been checking if release would be by Christmas as I have FS9 on my laptop and the MD-11 on my desktop for FSX.I think that updates are worth it so you keep your customers in the loop as what is going on,but when things get out of hand have the thread locked down.I will just wait till you do release and than will buy the sotware,I have other aircraft to fly till than.Have a Very Mery Christmas and a Happy New Year.
