February 21, 200917 yr Personally, I doubt it's something complex that would require a lot of work to get right. Going by that assumption any type of a regional jet is imo out of the question. Both the CRJs and the ERJs have advanced avionics with FMCs, which would entail a lot of work for an express line type of a product, certainly not something that could be churned out twice a year. It'll probably be a short-range turboprop with basic instruments (albeit, obviously, simulated as well as could be expected in the FS environment). February 21, 200917 yr I tend to agree with you, the ERJ, CRJ and airbus are out. I am also doubtful of the Q400, because it has very advanced avionics. I am hoping that it is the EMB-120, with a well simulated overhead. If it is the aforementioned EMB, PMDG could add the option in the installer to include Ernie Alston's ISG1 GNS-XLS FMS system, which is what is in most Domestic E120's. Joe Sherrill
February 21, 200917 yr I wouldnt put it past PMDG to produce a CRJ, they are very resiliant and always full of surprises. What I find strange is this information first came to light on Airsimmers forum. Could there be somthing to that? Paul ( Toronto Canada ).
February 21, 200917 yr ARRRRRRRRRRRR this is gona drive me insane....You say that you are going to release an aircraft with a VC that is out of this world But your not gona tell us what it is...or when to expect it other than soon !!!! You had the MD11 as soon availiable......3 years ago !!!! you now have an add running on this web site for an NGX "coming soon.... yet you say that it is a long way off in the forum....Is this new aircraft with the fantastic VC close as in close...........or is it close as in keep us waiting (markrting)close..????? Can you tell us how many engines does it have..1...2...3....4 or more :( :(
February 21, 200917 yr I won't even bother trying to guess other than it will obviously be an express product, which is definitely a good thing. But that leaves so many possibilities open I'll just wait and see. -Alex

But that leaves so many possibilities open I'll just wait and see. -Alex And an "Express" product precludes any kind of detailed aircraft or FMC, I would think (look at the B1900's). I would have to go along with those guessing turbo-prop, of some type. Vic Victor Buck
February 21, 200917 yr I am not gonna guess what it is, I can only wish it's T7 :( and that's it.I don't think it's fair that they revealed they have a release without any advert on their website and now we just have to wait and speculate what it might be it was already enough that we were waiting for the MD-11 anyway when it comes out it's out.
February 21, 200917 yr I'm guessing a turbo-prop, Dash-8 or B1900 V2. Also, I doubt they'll be giving any info on it before it's released due to how many tantrums were thrown during the MD-11 development.
February 21, 200917 yr Also, I doubt they'll be giving any info on it before it's released due to how many tantrums were thrown during the MD-11 development.Well, other than the actual type of the plane, the cat is pretty much out of the bag now. They'll probably let us know soon, otherwise I'm thinking there'll be an explosion of these types of threads that will drown out support questions. There's already quite a few (Airbus! No! Triple 7! No! Something else!). You guys are free to guess and talk about it, but if people start complaining or making demands of us, that's it. We'll let you know when we're ready, otherwise it's getting locked or deleted. February 22, 200917 yr Not April 1st but this is still an April Fools joke. We're not working on any steam gauge era airplanes like the "MD10".Pete 'Mac Paint'PMDG Graphic DesignerThere is a hint IT WILL NOT be a steam guage aircraft..keep guessing.Peter OsbornCapn OZ Peter Osborn
February 22, 200917 yr That's two people that said something about the Texan... Did they ever hint at something like that? Why would two people come up with a PMDG WWII trainer? If it indeed were to be a T-6, I'd probably have a heart attack LOL. As I said before, you don't know how much I'd pay for a GOOD T-6.You guys looking for a t6, have you seen the new one from Sky Unlimited? Looks pretty good to me.http://www.skyunlimited.net/texans_harvards_fsx.htmJeff P.
February 22, 200917 yr Uhm, well my bets are either on a L1011 (because, once ya started with Trijets, you can't get enough! :( ) or on a precisely modelled Russian Airliner, i'd say the IL-96 or the Ty-204. That'd be my 2 cents...
February 22, 200917 yr I highly doubt they'll be sending out another heavy aircraft in the near or moderate future. At two aircraft a year, it'll more than likely be express aircraft, Beech, Dash, CRJ, ERJ, etc, etc. The next heavy duty aircraft they'll release will be the NGX.
February 22, 200917 yr It is going to be a MU-2, Hopefully. would love to see a good MU-2. Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
