May 30, 200917 yr .. ....on your particular system you mean? Clearly if it didn't work at all then we'd know about it, but it worked fine in several weeks of testing and still does here. So we need to find out what is different between systems that seem to have no problems with cold and dark and others that cannot make it stick. Do you have any third party addons which change the way your FSX works? Have you tried loading a default aircraft, then switching off the engine (you shouldn't have to do a complete shutdown) before loading the Duke?Meantime a workaround is to shut everything down then save the flight if cold and dark is really important. Not perfect but effective! You can e-mail me at any time if you'd like more detailed and in depth troubleshooting. Thank you.Rob - RealAirY'know, I'm very tempted to buy FSX and get it running just so I'd have the opportunity to get another RealAir plane. :D Looks really superb and I'm sure it flies just as beautifully...
May 30, 200917 yr and now for the bad news: Cold and Dark option --- still not working :(Just an idea, did you put the mixture to full rich prior to starting the engines? :(
May 30, 200917 yr I'd like to thank Real Air for this sp1-having a real working gps in this already incredible aircraft is cake-and the ability to tune/turn knobs in whatever fashion you like is above the call to duty. Many thanks!Ditto from me. I now have full usage with my PFC Cirrus II hardware and the new PFC 430 will run the RXP Garmin. This makes an amazing simulation an incredible training tool. You can e-mail me at any time if you'd like more detailed and in depth troubleshooting. Thank you.Rob - RealAirSorry, I was somehow under the impression from a forum post that it hadn't worked at all and should now work after SP1. I did not know it was a system specific issue. I have no addons except the Duke installed right now, a Yoke and a Throttle. I tried without those though. When I load the default, shut down engines and then load the Duke, it is cold and dark. The next time I load the Duke directly, it's with running engines again. I tried saving the default flight with shut down engines too. As soon as I load the Duke form the FSX Free FLight dialog, the engines are running. It's a minor issue for me. Thanks for all the other improvements, especially the great mouse support.
May 31, 200917 yr The folks at RealAir have done a super job all around with this beautiful Duke. I love it.Now with the Duke being compatible to RealityXP Garmin equipment...well...it just brings a tear of joy to my eye :( Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)

We didn't do a fix for it because we cannot reproduce it here and it works for the vast majority. I wonder if FSUIPC could be a factor?Anyway, glad you like the update and thanks for stating it's a minor issue, which I agree with. All the best,Rob - RealAir Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
June 2, 200917 yr Many thanks to Rob and Sean for the Duke update. I love having the different panel layouts available. Should I be able to create a flight plan in FSX and have it available when I load the Duke using the RXP Garmin 530? The flight plan is there if I use the stock Garmin 500 GPS.Thanks,Steve

June 2, 200917 yr No. The RXP GNS unit works like the 'real deal', so you have to input your flight plan by hand....and hence is the beauty of the RXP GNS...and fs. At least you are not burning expensive fuel while you learn how to use it on the desktop. This is a perfect example of the tremendous value of fs to real flight and I am very grateful for it.It looks fabulous in the Duke which already looked fabulous-how lucky we are!
