David as a team member of LDS to busy with a certain 757 cockpit :(But maybe we could do a cockpit edit later on when I have more time...It's a real beauty :-) but see need a few more scratches in that 3d space lol
With LDS working on a 757 too, we're going to have some serious choices for 757 simulations between Captain Sims, Quality Wings and now LDS. Ehemm....I'll have to have them all :( I really wish someone would do a 777 though.

Wooow, if YOU are a member of the 757 team I pre order it today even if released in 10 years!!! :--))Yes that's my only "critics" about the Duke, I'd love to see more scratches and less sheen.IMO, this old lady has something like a starlet make-up !(I have nothing against young starlets though)
Hi David,Most current Dukes, of which there are few left, are generally speaking meticulously looked after by their owners. We wanted to reflect that in the liveries and panels. The Duke particularly lends itself to an almost art deco / neo classical look and that requires a very clean cockpit. Our in-house "style" is very much in favour of clean lines, rounded edges, and aesthetically attractive environments in which to fly. One day though, we'll design a really beaten up old crate just to show we can do it!All the best,Rob - RealAir

Neither I, although 71 yr old! Shhhht, my wife is looking over my shoulder (being my spouse since 46 yrs she still controls what I'm doing)-See, darling, starlets is aviation slang for those little rivets you see on the Duke's wing. See how beautifully rendered? :( -She: I see Rob Young is a real starlet artist... :( O, she's gone now (sigh of relief). So, Rob, What's going to be your next starlet? :( Jean-Jacques

Ron -I just bought the Duke today, installed it and clicked the Cold & Dark option, saved it. However in FSX the engines are still running. What specifics do you need in-order to trouble shoot this?

Hi SDFlyer,Cold and Dark works for the vast majority, but a minority can't get it working. We have no idea why this should be so, except obviously where it doesn't work there must be something different about the users setup of FSX compared to those who can make it work. To be frank Cold and Dark was an afterthought and an extra which we feel is not in any way important to the Duke as a whole. You can easily create your own cold and dark flight by loading the Duke, shutting everything down, then saving the flight. That's also quicker than setting up the option in the Duke config panel which runs without FSX started.Regards,Rob - RealAir

I had a feeling that would be the answer. How does the "Cold and Dark" option work? Maybe I can trouble shoot it.

I once had a passenger do that exact thing... (beer and cheese nachos) except it was the actual right-hand panel of an actual rented 172.Note to self: do not take friends on their very first airplane ride on a hot, bumpy day without first ensuring that: A. they have had nothing to eat or drink prior to flight, and/or B. have taken Dramamine before takeoff! :( In any case, the Real Air Duke is THE sweetest GA add-on for FSX that I have ever used - it flys and handles beautifully, and the RXP GNS530 integration is flawless. All it needs is a patch to add the RXP WXR-500 to the VC, and this would have to get my vote as THE "perfect" FSX commercial add-on.Jim Barrett
