June 9, 200916 yr Looks good.....http://www.blueprintsimulations.com/BluePrint_KBOS.htm To be honest, I think the free George Grimshaw ( I may have that name wrong ) from FlyTampa for FS9 version is much better. Mind you, the price isn't bad and it may be useful for FSXers. No offence intended - just an opinion. Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
June 9, 200916 yr I really don't like BluePrint quality for FS9 or FSX... And I also do think the FREE (emphasis on FREE) FlyTampa's KBOS scenery is MUCH BETTER for FS9. Best regards, Fritz ESSONO
June 9, 200916 yr Not to mention the George Grimshaw KBOS is also AES compatible for free.Try mentioning AES over at Blueprint and see what happens. :( Cheers Clarke Kruger - CYEG

June 9, 200916 yr Yeah this airport was a head scratcher. Why do an airport that has been done so well already. Andrew
June 9, 200916 yr Agreed. I've had the Freeware FlyTampa on my pc for *years*. After every reinstall of FS9, I reinstall the KBOS scenery. It's fantastic. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
June 9, 200916 yr KBOS from Fly Tampa is up to date and compares to their payware products. It can't be beat...
June 9, 200916 yr To be honest, I think the free George Grimshaw (...) from FlyTampa for FS9 version is much betterIt surely is, plus it's free. So, though payware developers have their rights to release whatever they wish, this decision surprises me a lot. With all respect to people from BluePrint, I'm trying to imagine someone dropping Grimshaw's top quality and AES-supported KBOS and paying for BluePrint's one. I'm getting no success. But maybe it's just me. :( Best regards,
June 9, 200916 yr Yeah this airport was a head scratcher. Why do an airport that has been done so well already.Take a look at the site. That's all he does pretty much. These are done or will be released soon from Blueprint:KBOS Flytampa FreewareTBPB Freeware that is better quailityKORD FSDreamteam CYYC Dennis DefrancoTJSJ ImagineSimAnd all of these are AES support with the exception of BarbadosNot sure how you make any money developing half rate versions of better quality payware.Well at lease he's got my .02 cents Clarke Kruger - CYEG
June 9, 200916 yr Yeah, the BluePrint stuff is tough on frames and the eyes, to me. Although I was interested in the RDU scenery simply because it's got the new terminals. I love that airport. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
June 10, 200916 yr The textures on the Blueprint sceneries, in my opinion, need to be better to justify as full payware. However the price they charge is not that exorbitant. The FSX users will no doubt like a KBOS I would think. If you are going to release a product - any product - you need to firstly make sure it fits a gap in the market. I think any payware company that does not do this will struggle. Add to the mix a Global Recession and well you don't need me to lecture... June 10, 200916 yr BluePrint decided to do KBOS mainly to cash in on FSXers who couldn't use Grimshaw's fantastic classic.I've never had a problem with any of their sceneries and like them for what they are -- they're all just 15 bucks US, never more, never less. To compare them to other developers often charging twice as much by lumping them into a nebulous group known as Paware isn't particularly fair. That being said, I too will most likely take a pass on this offering, preferring to stay with GGs freeware. :( Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. June 10, 200916 yr Yep. The only Blueprint I have is KMSP, and I've been hoping imaginesim or someone else would pick it up and do it so it could be AES compatible.Blueprint would be worth the $15 if they had added AES compatibility, but otherwise their airports are stuck in yesteryear. I'm dumbfounded as to why they wouldn't add a feature that would make their airports much more favorable to the simmer.
