Your Best bet is Level-D 767 which is $54.95 for fsx the super80 pro is on sale right now till august 30 http://www.flight1.com/main.asp?view=bundles for $44.95 if you dont want heavy airline action with fmc and alll that stuff then you can pick up the overland airbus or boeing package that works for fsx now. http://www.fspilotshop.com/index.php?manuf...2ba1d979380a6b6

Are you satisfied with Airbus 1 series? I'm really tempted. How's the FSX performance at add-on airports and so on?
I've got the Wilco Airbus series 1 and 2.They are somewhat 'alright' but not much more than that.Series 1, the A318, the rudder is not animated. Myself and others have contacted wilco and we get ignored. Post about this on the wilco forum and the thread is immediatley locked, along with any other question you ask regarding something of which they don't know or don't want to sort out.Other than that, the aircraft is rather basic in what you actually have to do to get airbourne. Sure, you have an FMC, nothing really complicated there. On the overhead panel, all you can do is switch on and off the lights - and that's it. All of the other switched on the overhead panel, you can dream about touching them.As said earlier, wait for the Airsimmer. Despite the fact I have forked out for both Vol 1 and 2, purchased at the same time, I'll be going for the Airsimmer if it really is as good as promised and I'll then ditch the Wilco.

Well if the airsimmer airbus is for fs9 first and fsx at some point later that's yet TBD then it's DENIED for me. Fsx is the current sim and priority should be to it and if it's not then I'd say airsimmer has their priorities skewed. I also highly recommend people NOT to pay $90 upfront for both versions if the fsx version "is to come later" and won't be released at the same time as the fs9 version. There is no guarantee that they will ever release the fsx version after they have been paid their 90 bucks and with this economy you need to keep that in mind. I learned my lesson on that one with Guachez or whatever his name was that did the flight scenery Portland addon that never materialized for fsx. Not a slam, just my 2c from experience.

no such thing. wilco does not have a support forum. FEELTHERE has a forum for users of the products developed by feelThere can share information and get assistance.

untrue. a lie. false information. there are TWO threads about the A318 rudder and both remain open to posting.

what about:
  • IRS control panel
  • fuel pumps
  • electrical system
  • APU
  • pneumatics
  • AC
  • GPWS
  • anti-ice

:(

...wait for the Airsimmer.
:( ... 3 years now ... B) my best to airsimmer and the other developers that continue to say they have an airbus 'READY FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE'. until a new airbus is in the hands of customers there is nothing to compare against ... except vapor. how about talking about the different airbus simulations that have been released for FSX B) --

until threads such as this become history FS9 will remain the #1 sim -http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=257370maybe, in the future, Intel & AMD will create a CPU that can run FSX. at this time no setup allows one to get the same gameplay and scenery density in FSX as one can get with a FS9 setup IMO.
HelloYour opinion is wrong and has been for quite a while.A year ago I would have agreed with you but now the hardware has really caught up.Buy the right hardware and FSX runs much better than FS9, much smoother.

Not a lie, you lock up any thread at will, simply becuase you're out of your depth. What about my thead about V speeds? You threw a hissy fit and locked that. Admit it, you're a cry baby, even banning me for asking about the 737 TOGA.what about:
  • IRS control panel

And that's about it though, rather basic. Plus the IRS panel on there isn't much cop.

I don't agree w/ that. With my setup FS9 runs so smooth. No hiccups or stutters. Thats w/ PMDG MD-11 and multiple add-ons running also. My i7 eats it for breakfast! FSX runs good but not nearly as smooth. Its getting there but I still get hit hard at payware airports. Overall I think the i7 overclocked should be able to run FSX very well w/ little to no tweaking.

yes, Intel is getting close with this latest generation of chips ... but not yet. yes, you can get great performance away from an airport ... so what! it is during short finals that smooth visual and game response to input where it is important IMO. smooth gameplay is also important visually during taxi to and from the gate.i like my dense settings on FS9 with loads of AI. when i fly into a large airport (ie, KORD) the place is busy just like real-world. can't, IMO, do that yet with FSX no matter the overclock attempted.--

the airbus panel IS BASIC. there is not all that much for the pilots to do in normal flight.who here has that comic showing the difference between the boeing panel with all the steam gauges and the airbus with an up and down button?--

For anybody thinking of getting wilco products, there are people having trouble to get wilco planes to work with ultimatetraffic2.They say no traffic appears in FSX when they using wilco plane.check ut2 website for details. In my opinion, i dont think the problem is with wilco planes, cause i ahve used them with various addons for years without any show stopper issues. I think the problem is with UT2 design that seems to break things in FSX, however good the AI models.Everytime i install ut2, it always currupts my dll.xml file, .I have not installed my wilco stuff on new system due to lack of time from fixing various rex and ut2 bugs, so i cant test the problem of ut2 and wilco working together. So far as i can see, no one has found a fix. So currently wilco plane means zero ut2 traffic.

No, you're missing the point. There ARE many switches and buttons on the panel, that in the Wilco Simulation are NOT operative.

I stand by my assessment that ut2 is just a flawed product in every way. There is not a single time that I fly that I am not tempted to remove it and go back to trafficx due to issues that I experience with it. It is a beta2 status product at best in its current state. Don't get me wrong, it DOES have potential, but it is just too buggy to recommend at this time in my personal opinion.

I have asked the question on ut2 forum about bugs and when will there be patches, and all they can tell me is soon not when. Then they have refused to answer any further questions i have, saying any flaw in the product is not thier fault its the fault of FSX. Kind of like a car blaming the road, same road on which other well designed addons work with no major issues.Back to payware jetliners, any recomendations for those of us that like good cabin views and not just cockpit. One thing i like wilco for is that they dont mess with thier cabin views, always excellently done by fsx standards anyway.I was kind of hoping for descent cabin views when i got pmdg md11/747, one look at the pmdg cabin views where they exist, and you know someone gave that part of the project to a 5 year old to design. Pmdg dont do cabin views in short.wilco 777 which has very nice vc, has no cabin either.Does Captain sim do detailed cabinWho else doees vc and good cabin viewsEdit:: Before i forget, beware of those on Avsim that will tell you ut2 is the greatest thing since the computer was invented!!!

EDIT: Captain Sim 767 has a full-length cabin that is very well done, as you would expect. The 757 gives you part of the cabin, but certainly enough to look out the windows when you want to. Here are my my favorites for what it is worth. The short-hauler is easy. Flight 1 Coolsky Super 80 Pro is, in my opinion, the best all-around airliner for FSX, and this is why: you can find other airplanes that do certain things better, but when you consider frame rates, looks, systems, the training system for when you're new or rusty, it has a whole lot going for it. Even more now that McPhat has put out two free UHDT liveries. Yeah, the vc isn't the best, but, you know, when you're using it, it works well, and I actually like it a lot. Somehow it winds up looking better than it should when you take it apart piece by piece, the whole being greater than the sum of the parts. And if the vc compromises are contributing to the good frame rates, then that's fine with me.My favorite long-haul is probably Captain Sim's 767, but I would not recommend it until we see what 1.1 looks like. If you're willing to put up with some teething on a new release and have a decent system, it is worth looking at. I am glad I have it, and it gets a lot of flying time. I'm sure there are people that will say I'm nuts, and I admit that this is more of a preference than a recommendation, but I like the looks, some nice liveries are already available with more on the way, and I'm used to the 757. Of course the LDS 767 has more fidelity, if that's what you're most interested in. If you're prepared to overlook some dated graphics, then that is an excellent airplane of course, with tons of ancillary support. The CLS 747 is beautiful, and on the simpler side. I like their implementation of INS and the fantastic tutorial elevates the whole package. I have fun when I fly it. Good, classic airplane with lots of liveries. PMDG's MD-11 is very nice, too, on the other end of the fidelity spectrum from the CLS, although it is not a favorite of mine.I like Wilco's 737 and Airbusses, too. Nothing real hard core to beat your chest about here, but they're nice and shouldn't be underestimated. You can make your flights more realistic by using proper ETOPS procedures, NATs, etc. I think their Vol 1 and 2 are good value for the collection. I don't fly them much anymore just because I am into Boeings now. I miss them occasionally.Ariane's 737-800 is seeing the most flight time for me, right now. Despite the horror stories, I haven't had problems with them, it is good-looking, has the systems to satisfy me, lots of extra bells and whistles, is an excellent hand-flyer, and lots and lots (and lots) of McPhat liveries. Downside is it is pricey and so are the liveries, and owning one will make you Unclean!. Frame rates are incredible, though.Captain Sim 757 remains a favorite, although I have to be in a certain mood to give up the frame rates now that I can fly the Ariane 737 without a second thought. Nice thing about the 757 is you can do a 100 mile flight or a transatlantic flight, so you are getting a lot of versatility. Captain Sim is not for everyone, though. You have to appreciate the graphics enough to overlook the occasional weirdness and frame rate hit. Still, one of my top three all-time favorites, and McPhat UHDT liveries are on the way.If I were just starting out looking to get into airliners, I would definitely go with the Super 80, and then Vol 2 of the Airbus package. I don't miss an opportunity to recommend 100 World's Busiest Airports for a real nice collection of worldwide flight plans, too (for free). On the topic of flying airliners, now that I have started using FS Passengers, I kick myself for the two times I tried it and dismissed it previously. It adds a lot to the experience, as well as handling loading.Have fun: there are a lot of great products out there for FSX.
