The best scenery for bush flying in FSX that I know of, is Tongass fjords. Also the FTX orbx stuff is great for bush flying. As for planes, there are lots. The the A2A Cub with tundra tires is a lot of fun.Perhaps other will chime in a sugest some more stuff.Rob

I would do a little homework before you break open the wallet. What type of "bush" do you want to fly in? Sure, most think of Alaska when it comes to bush flying. But also think of:The outback of Australiathe jungles of Africathe mountainous regions of South AmericaAlso, check out the websites of Alaska Winds and Bush Flying Unlimited for some fellow "bush whackers". Lot's of activities there. If you want to try some roll playing check out FS Economy or it's payware counterpart, Air Hauler. You can get very involved in this niche of simming, and it can be quite immersible.most of all have fun,Clutch Cargo

Get a map. The thing about bush flying is that it tends to be in remote places where there are few if any navaids. Thus, having a map and a good idea of where you are going is pretty much essential. Don't rely on the GPS, since that takes the fun out of it (and many of the best bush strip addons don't show in the GPS anyhow)The kind of bush flying you want to do will largely influence where you want to go - be it high desert, tough mountain ridges, dense jungle, swamps, outback, tundra etc.. Simply look for those kinds of places and off you go.You can also get lots of inspiration from places like YouTube - just go there and search on Bush Flying, and see what takes your fancy. The world, as they say, is your mollusc...

Consider Aerosoft's African Airstrip Adventures - with planes already mentioned You have plenty of machines to fly.I like RealAir's Beech B60 Duke and Lionheart's Tailwind/Wittman to fly in

If you don't just want to fly around without a purpose, you might want to check out FS Economy. Basically what you do there is to rent aircraft and fly passengers and cargo around. It's a good way to get to fly to plenty of smaller airports, and when you make enough virtual cash, you can even buy your own aircraft!

You can join us at Eagle Valley Air We fly Alaska, British Columbia, Papua New Guinea, The Caribbean and Africa in all of your favorite bush planes (and some you may not think of as bush planes). We have the routes worked out for some of the most interesting and challenging bush flying one could want.

Please read the "Last Word" section of my Review of the A2A Piper J3 Cub, and you can learn to fly the Loni Habersetzer way. http://www.avsim.com/pages/1209/A2A/Cub.htmJeff ShylukSenior Staff ReviewerAVSIM

This is just the article I have been looking for ! I to love bush flying and am not "imaginative" or knowledgeable enough to do it off the cuff. Years ago (10+) I signed up with Pier Glass aviation (PGA) using Flight unlimited II and spent hours upon hours flying around the SF area. Now I have upgraded to FSX and thanks to this wonderful post have now signed up to FSeconomy ! Having a real blast ! As I have a lot of the orbx stuff I am "based" in Australia but might go to Alaska a some point. The world is my oyster. And to add the icing on the cake, I have discovered a new series called "ICE PILOTS". This is like ICE TRUCKERS but concentrating on a Air freight company out in the north West Territories that fly DC3's. DC4's, Electra's etc in the most inhospitable environments imaginable. Being as I am living in England I have had to download it via bit torrent off the net. Download one episode and I guarantee you will want the rest. Check out thew website. They have trailers and episodes (in certain countries only) to watch on-line.

As for charts: Online US sector charts. Perfect if you have two computers or multiple monitors.
