July 14, 201015 yr Hi,Not, I do not have a trouble with FSX. But it is true that the fps are not super as of time.I guess the ngx won't make it any better.Martin Martin Pampiermole

July 14, 201015 yr If you can swing it, an upgrade to an overclocked i5 750 or i7 8xx/9xx along with a new motherboard (X58 or P55) and at least 4GB of DDR3 will have a pretty big effect on how well the sim itself runs for you. A Core 2 Duo is starting to get pretty long in the tooth now, they're several years old. Your video card is fine.Hi,Thank you for the councilI personally don't think that you'll have that much of a problem. If you search "PMDG laptop" on YouTube you can find a video of a guy playing with the 747x in FSX on a laptop that had lower specs than your pc. It's all just a matter of adjusting your settings (and the settings on the video weren't poor by the ways). That, and the fact that PMDG has said this won't be a heavy fps killer, I don't think you'll have a problem; as I said you might just have to decrease your graphics settings slightly if you have too low fps.thank you for the answer
July 14, 201015 yr I'm using FSX on my Gateway NV52 laptop. I run FSX on medium high settings and I'm fully satisfied with frame rates (which are excellent!) and performance of my add-ons. I'm glad that no super advanced computer will be needed to enjoy NGX. Cheers Paul Kawalec Chicago O'Hare Int. Airport . Last flight: 6-11-11 - B737-700 - Southwest Airlines #2139 - KMDW -> KTPA
July 14, 201015 yr Hello Ryan, since my questions have gone by unanswered, I will just post them again. Hello PMDG,Seeing how much work is going into the visuals and systems of the NGX I have some questions about minor features."How much can we expect in terms of crew interaction?"I guess a FS2Crew 737NGX edition is already in the works, but will there be some basic level of interaction with the co-pilot and/or cabin crew out-of-the-box?A number of recent Add-on aircraft did have this kind of functionality included (for example a well known 767, a certain MD-80 simulation and several "accurate" vintage aircraft). Since PMDG decided to allow "some" interaction with the ground crew with the MD11 (i.e. refueling & pushing), I wondered if this might be something that could be expanded with future products, including the NGX."Will there be a separate Load Manager or will we load passengers "on-the-fly" like in the Jetstream & Will the documentation provide detailed performance data?"Since your contract with Boeing prohibited you to provide data for the MD11, will we see charts along with the other manuals this time?"Are you planning to release a printed set of manuals like you did for the MD11?"I will fly the NGX a lot and it would be nice to have those. Its nice to see you guys taking the time and posting updates frequently. July 14, 201015 yr Commercial Member Alexander,I don't know at this stage - most of that stuff is among the last things to go in when designing an addon. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
July 15, 201015 yr Alright,Thank you Ryan.Although I hoped for a bit more info. Could you estimate when you will be able to answer those questions?@b737lvrYeah, I am snippy. July 15, 201015 yr Commercial Member I'll let you know when there's an answer - I'll log the items you requested though.I'd say the copilot thing is probably unlikely - we have a good relationship with Bryan York at FS2Crew and I have to assume he's going to make something far beyond what we'd do ourselves anyway as far as that kind of functionality goes. The NGX will be much more open as far as his ability to directly control the panel and stuff, it won't be like the old NG where he had to do simulated mouseclicks etc, the SDK will let his app control anything basically. Bryan's last FS2Crew release for the J41 is totally addictive and has made me set every other sim a side. I certainly hope that FS2Crew Voice Command can be ready for release when the NGX is. That would be awesome. Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)

July 15, 201015 yr Thank you Ryan, for your detailed response. Interesting tidbit about the SDK. Sounds very promising!Good to know that feature requests are getting logged, too. Maybe you can add shared cockpit to my list. :( Of course I also know FS2Crew. I purchased the MD11 Edition for FS9.But,alas, since I made the switch to FSX a while back I can not use it anymore.I liked FS2Crew, but I also thought it was too "script-driven". Once you accidentally pushed the wrong button it would get out of sync and require reloading the flight, sometimes after a 45 minute pre-flight. However that was my only grief with it.Just to get back to topic - how about some more screenshots? :( "A life is like a garden.
