PMDG 737 NGX: The View Forward

Featured Replies

We all underestimate the time it takes to do something quickly. The quickest you can possible see something, interpret it and respond is about 1 sec. So, you gotta look up, shift focus, interpret, and look back down and refocus. I assure you it is 3 sec minimum and more likely you are going to look out the window longer trying to make something out of the gray or dark.

i just hope this new bird whenever its release next year :( doesn't destroy my decent frame rates i have now. i run the wilco 737 with medium scenery and 15-30 fps depending on where im flying. my deepest worry is this new pmdg release will be so demanding i cant run it. hopefully they keep in mind a lot of people dont have supercomputers.

whatttt?!?!??when did these pop up, why aint they here?
They probably only want to post complete pictures here. (As in, with the center part of the throttle pedestal painted.)PMDG likes to treat us with their first complete shots. :(

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.

To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Interesting to see the extra pics, but I wonder how long it'll be till someone from the 'is it ready yet?' crowd joins up and starts ruining everything?

Seeing how people are so eager and to help rush things a little bit, I decided to step up and do the exterior model myself, so here's a screen shot of it.You'll need to zoom in a fair bit to get a glimpse of the amazing detail of this texture. I also added a PMDG water mark even though no one in PMDG has agreed to incorporate this to the project yet, but it's obviously just a matter of time. Oh, you're welcome by the wayngx.jpg

One of the links showed the overhead panel almost completed so maybe the trottles are one of the last things they need to do :(

I am sure the real work - the stuff that takes the most time - are already on their way. By that, I mean the systems programming. I am sure that it will be a relatively swift process to connect the VC up with the systems modeling.I am not worried, PMDG can take as long as they need. :)

I frequent many 3D forums as I do 3D modelling myself. When I saw those, I thought someone was ripping off Vins work.A quick check of the profile verifies it's Vin.Goran
Ha.. was wondering when someone would stumble upon this. Feel free to follow along with the progress on this part. :(

@ VINhi sir,is the throttles the last part of your VC modeling? Also, is the exterior model been started yet? If so, may we have a screenshot, or some clue on to the progress of the exterior?Alex

Captains, the entire airplane is in progress. If it wasn't in progress, you'd be flying it right now :)To the casual observer, we don't always do things in a logical order, so while the throttles may seem important to the overall function of the airplane, they don't require as much of a team effort, so they may be saved for close to last...
