February 1, 201016 yr So installing Pacific NW will obviously disable UTX and GEX in this area?Good point, because these two do NOT work together!Oh well, another reason to keep my double boot XP/W7.GEX/UTX on XP an all the other stuff on W7...
February 1, 201016 yr As of right now it's only certain airports. Here's a video that really excites me:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTXOG8EK-NE MSFS
February 1, 201016 yr Good point, because these two do NOT work together! That is too bad. As exited as I was about PNW, consistency is very important to me. 95% of the flying I do is with passenger jets covering long distance. If I have to shut down UTX and GEX for most of my journey, then the product just does not interest me. I do not use photo real for the same reason. I don't like the stark contrast or the fact that there is no seasonal change. I am sure it will be a great product. I look forward to their KSEA. Mike Keigley
February 1, 201016 yr Commercial Member Hi guys, there will be no need to deactivate or remove GEX, UTX, or other third-party landscape and texture add-ons. FTX PNW works with local excludes so that all default and third-party features within its coverage area are replaced by FTX features while the areas outside its coverage area are unaffected.Cheers, Holger
February 1, 201016 yr Excellent video....!I'm foaming at the mouth for this product.....for if it will live up to this video, and the asking price isn't jacked........then O.M.G.!Wow.....Wallet in hand...and waiting...Mitch

That's what I've read somewhere.I'm happy to see that those involved with the product are sharing their enthusiasm and clearing the air as to what works and what doesn't. MSFS

February 2, 201016 yr I supoose he means this one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdkVlfJq_FA And as an aside to all this, if the above video doesn't convince the "frame rate junkie" crowd that you don't need 60 FPS to get excellent results in FSX...NOTHING will. 25 FPS...and smooth as silk over very dense scenery in the buildings area of the airport. Nice video. Rick Ryan
February 2, 201016 yr The hardware is here. All we need is the right properly designed scenery. This has been a proven fact. If developers adapt the new technology we sill all benefit greatly. MSFS
