February 27, 201016 yr Author It means it is free to existing ASA users for a limited time... so get it now before you have to pay for it.Nice to hear this, thanks for information, Robert. :( Regards, Mats Weinberger
February 27, 201016 yr Haven't had time to test it, just installed and activated it, but many thanks for the free update!
February 27, 201016 yr Again, can someone tell us how long the limited time offer is for, as i work away and am not home to download it until next Friday (5th March). Thanks,Andy
February 28, 201016 yr Hi Jim,You may have stated this somewhere and I'm just unable to find it, but I'm still a bit confused about this limited offer, maybe its just me and I don't get it.Since I upgrade my flightsim computer hardware often, if ASE needs to be reinstalled after your limited time offer expires, will I have toA. Pay for ASE and/or update if I have the full install program (ASE) in my possession and burned to a disc?. B. Will my ASA key still work with ASE (complete reinstall) after the limited time offer expires, if I already installed ASE prior to the limited time offer expiring?.C. Since my key is for ASA, will I have to install ASA prior to installing ASE even if I have the full install version of ASE?Thanks Andy,You'll be fine! February 28, 201016 yr Hi Mike,No, not too much has been posted about this, so you haven't overlooked anything. You purchased an ASA key and that key will be recognized by us in the future. You don't have to burn a disk, as we will have record of your ASA purchase. No, the beauty of the Full install is that all you will need is your ASA/ASE key. We feel that solves the issue that ASA upgrade users were having becuase they needed to have so many other things installed first before they could install ASA.If I didn't answer things or if you have other concerns, repost and I'll get back tomorrow. It has been a long day!!
February 28, 201016 yr Hi, so basically when i will change my PC sometime this year, I will be able to install ASE with my ASA product key and no additional costs to be taken? Tom Link
February 28, 201016 yr Just like to say a big thanks for this free upgrade and I look forward to flying with ASE !
February 28, 201016 yr Shouldn't this upgrade remain free to existing ASA users anyway?Seems like its ASA SP2 (if it fixes a lot of existing issues with ASA SP1) or is there going to be a future separate update for ASA users?Graham
February 28, 201016 yr Hi,No this is the update, but ASA is not going to be sold soon.ST, that is correct.
February 28, 201016 yr Hi,No this is the update, but ASA is not going to be sold soon.Hi JimI'm just curious, if ASE is indeed mostly the SP/update to fix existing problems with ASA, then why the whole name change thing? Didn't you guys like "Advanced" enough? :( Don't get me wrong, congrats on what based of feedback so far seems to be solid product, but the whole name thing has left me a little puzzled.
February 28, 201016 yr Hi,Mostly due to the re-coding of some of the systems.Hi Jim, Thanks to you all at HiFi for the continued support and upgrades. I flew from northern Ontario to Montreal last night and the weather remained rock-solid throughout the flight.Congrats, \Robert Hamlich/
