Not necessarily XBOX, or at least not only...Note the stipulation: Games For Windows LIVE, which is of course PC based......also note this...

Help define our new partner program, including SDK pipeline and release criteria, to enable 3rd party partners to develop add-ons for our game.

in fact, the other MGS job posting confirms what you are saying... still. good news I guess :) FS is definitely NOT dead :)

I asked Paul last week to arrange a press release, he said that the " PR " department would be preparing a statement , at that point we will all have less to speculate about and more to get ready for , for the moment one can say with certainty that rumours of the demise of aces were happily premature and the statement that MS continues to support " Flight Games " was true.

If this is going where I think it's going, I wonder how many third party developers would get on-board. A while back MS did the survey, I do remember a few sneaky console gaming questions in it.

And what's wrong with a bit of specualtion?! :(Edit: And I have a feeling this thread might, in the coming weeks, start to rival the FTX PNW thread in length!

I thought this would have more comment but I guess thata) Nobody is interested until there is more definite info from MSb.) The project could possibly be a year or more awayc) This thread has been moved from the FSX forum to Hangar Chat!!

d). This has all been discussed a couple of months ago when the last job advertisements showed up.

Did they? Don't remember that and when I put "Flight Sim Live" into search this is the only thread that comes up.

Some people knew since the week or month (can't remember) after they fired ACES and posted job listings for a new Flight Sim game (Last week of January), that FSX was not dead. I have some links in my signature about it.

If Microsoft is going to downgrade it from a simulation to a game then I have no interest in it and I suspect I won't be alone. If kids want "flash bang wallop" surely there are enough of those games on the market already? The FS 'franchise' ( I hate that word!) was their most successful leisure software package over 20 years. Just because they messed up with FSX that's no reason to pull the plug and revert to a game console package for kids. All the more reason to stay with FS9 and move to FSX in 2-3 years when the hardware has caught up.I'd rather have my fingernails pulled out with pliers than buy an X-Box and as for paying for on-line flying...! :(
