March 15, 201016 yr I know many of you have "pooh poohed" Force Feedback over the years. Me? I never stopping using it! I am on my 2nd Microsoft Force Feedback 2 Joystick, and it's just too bad Microsoft doesn't get back into it again....because the time has FINALLY come.Utilizing Russell Dirk's FF2 software makes this stick almost perfect for this sim. I've tried other FF sticks but nothing beats the Microsoft FF2. It's no longer sold, so I had to get my 2nd one on EBay. A FF YOKE would be something of incredible significance now, and it can't be so difficult to manufacture...since there are FF steering wheels for racing games. This morning after a quick flight in the Maule utilizing EZCA and FF, I was amazed at the reality. Then I took off in a helcopter....again, I felt like I was really in a helicopter with the turbulent and erratic movement. When I touched down, I swear it felt like I was really in it. No exaggeration. Now that we are utilizing such tremendous "reality elements" in our beloved FSX such as terrain elements (UTX,GEX,REX and PNW) and realistic weather from the likes of ASE, it is time to complement the latest addon: EZCA!With the arrival of EZCA, my Microsoft FF2 joystick is an unbelievable accessory. When you start your roll for takeoff on some of these dirtstrips, encounter turbulence, or land in the Bush, the FF effects are extremely meaningful to me with FSX. Now when my wonderful Wife comes into the computer room where I fly AND interrupts me EXACTLY when I'm landing....it's a really big deal!If you've never felt these effects in Bush Country with the quality of the terrain and weather we have now....you are really, really missing something. March 15, 201016 yr Of course! EZCA is an acronym for EZdok. What was I thinking? :(Just o be clear, EZCA is the commercial name for EZDOK that has now been released by Flight1. I wonder why they didn't call it EZCAM, or EZ-Camera? I guess there may have been trademark problems with those names? Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
March 15, 201016 yr Author You had me right up to EZCA, Stan. What's that? Did I miss something? Keeping up with FS acronyms is a full-time job. :(Sorry. In my Programs folder, EZdok is EZCA. I'm having a ball with this program right now; I can't say I have it nailed down yet, but I'm trying. What's great about it is the way it's different with different aircraft. That's where the Force Feedback comes in. EZdok and Force Feedback were meant for each other. Add to those 2 all the other great programs for scenery and weather, and we have something that we can really enjoy. Here's another acronym: Thank you ORBX. :( Stan
