I just want to make it a point to thank the talented artist Pablo Diaz for his dedication to simply enhancing FS9 with his FREE releases of HDE. If you haven't tried them, take a look because these are STUNNING sky scapes rendered in photorealistic splendor and really transform FS9 into the FS v9.8 that we all hold onto dearly.I make this point because Mr Diaz could easily package this up and sell it for a fee, but he does not. There are not a lot of high quality freeware addons for the hobby anymore and the few authors like him that release payware quality add-ons just for the love of the hobby (you know who you are) are the backbone that keeps this hobby alive. I'm sure that Mr. Diaz's time is no less valuable than anyone else's and he gives of his freely which is very rare. So just a point to stop flying for a few minutes and acknowledge ALL of the high quality freeware authors whose only fee is knowing that we are smiling in awe as we fly in our virtual world. Yes, I second that. Although I now use REX, I have used his V1.0 in the past, and they were better then the flight environment payware clouds! Glad to see he's still in it.

I'm using his version 1.0 HDE clouds and they are fantastic in both FS9 AND FSX. I just saw that he updated to 2.0 and I'm downloading now. Thanks again, Mr. Diaz!

WOW!!!!!! Those screens look amazing, Before I go ahead and install i was wondering how taxing is that on frames?Also, it says it enhances ground detail, does that mean it is going to affect my ground environment pro?Just trying to get informed before i go ahead and install this.Thanks

I too would like to add my thanks to Pablo Diaz I have REX but choose to use Pablo's HDE 1 instead. And now HDE 2 and the differences are very visible to me and I thank you very much Pablo......................John

Gerry,The part about enhancing ground textures only refers to a new file for the extreme close-up grass and dirt detail. It doesn't change the Ground Environment overall land textures.John
