Yeah the Citation X should be your next buy lol!(after the Stang I mean)I was on the fence for a long while regarding the PMDG J41 but in the end did not buy it. I realized since I already had the mustang I wouldn't fly it because of its speed. It's actually on par with the Mustang as far as cruising speed goes... It does look beautiful though - so if you have cash to burn might as well go with the PMDG bird too.I'm a 90% GA flyer so what I use (from slowest to fastest) are:RealAir Scout PackCarenado ArrowEaglesoft SR22 G3RealAir DukeFlight1 MustangL39 AlbatrosEaglesoft Citation XYou'll want to have all of those if you're into GA flying!!!
I love the J41! It will give you a different slant on the hobby. Be prepared to get down to business like you would being any front line pilot. No fun flights to AMS in this baby.jja

You are aware that this is a turbo-prop engine, right? Which typically have a lag when adding throttle..
Yes Bert, I am aware this is a turbo prop...and they typically have a lag when adding throttle. To me, it just feels a little sloppy, and I'm talking about when making very small throttle adjustments. BTW, I did look for Banana Bob repaints but they're not available. I think he's missing or something and the repaints aren't up on his site. Also, I do want to hear what you have to say about the Victory. Any idea when that review is going up?

I really like the Mustang, but it's just too much for my system. Unfortunately I let the refund policy expire quite some time ago, but I haven't flown it in month's because it just doesn't perform well enough for me. It's a shame.
Mine crashes almost like clockwork. Not blaming the product but hoping the next rev will fix it.jja

To be specific, it is the Cessna Citation CJ1+ Extreme 2.0 w/Full Universal FMS.It will likely reach release after our Diamond DA42 Twin Star w/G1000.
Wow, that's great to hear! Like the Mustang, the CJ1 is a beauty. I just watched a few youtube videos (v1.0)and am totally excited to get it! I'll look forward to that one. I know you hate giving specifics, but does this mean the CJ1 might be available over the summer? Regardless, I'll look for it with great interest.
Also, I do want to hear what you have to say about the Victory. Any idea when that review is going up?

I have the Victory, but for the first time I was very disappointed with the flight dynamics of a payware purchase. Granted there are only a couple examples that made it into the air so there is not a lot of information on the aircraft. Visually I loved the aircraft. I have a link to some screenshots I posted here:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=281936But I thought the aircraft felt way overpowered on takeoff and in flight, and it turned out to be true. For whatever reason, the Victory was given an engine with 2900# thrust in the FS-X release, even though the engine meant for the real Victory has far less power. Most spec sheets and press releases I've seen show that the certified Victory was meant to have an engine with 1615# thrust:http://www.pwc.ca/en/news-events/press/details/753828I know one needs to fudge some details to get flight dynamics to match "the real thing", but I felt a bit deceived here having followed Epic for many years and thought from reading the Lionheart site that the sim Victory was designed with input from its designers. I enjoyed Lionheart's Epic LT, and the Victory looks beautiful visually. But any review needs to dive into what happened with the flight dynamics and why. John

The Mustang is a true work of art and hands down the best business jet ever developed for MSFS. I challenge anyone to point me to another business jet whose manufacturer has linked to the simulated version on the real airplanes landing page (see http://www.cessna.com/citation/mustang.html).As far as performance goes, you've got 30-days to try it on your system or simply return it. Although with *******'s tweaks, aren't performance issues a thing of the past ?/DavePP-ASEL

Try[TurbineEngineData]...static_thrust = 1615 //Lbs, max rated static thrust at Sea Level - was 2900...[jet_engine]thrust_scalar = 1.2 // was 1.0and let me know what you think..Even with 1390 static thrust (same as one Mustang engine) you get very spirited performance.

What do you mean? I had already made those edits (which I mention in my post on the screenshots forum), and there is quite a difference in performance--acceleration to takeoff speed is far slower, and the climb/cruise/descent profile is quite changed. To make those edits and to get anything close to the expected fuel burn for a VLJ and performance, other factors need to be changed. For instance, I found if you throttle back to a 250KTAS cruise speed at FL280, range far exceeded the 1200NM economy cruise Epic advertised for the Victory. I could go on..the wingspan and wing area entries in the aircraft.cfg are also wrong, which gives the aircraft a stall in the 50-55kt range, some 20 kts below Epic's numbers. Even if you adjust those to the actual numbers, the tables in the .air file don't work and still make the stall artificially low. For an aircraft advertised as having input from the actual aircraft mfr., I have to wonder where these metrics came from and/or whether attention was even given to the flight dynamics, or whether the release is merely eye candy. I buy tons of payware and I am not in here demanding perfection. I'm always in the screenshots forum sharing my enjoyment of what I purchase. What I am suggesting here is if someone wants to enjoy the VLJ experience and the flight envelope of flying one, I don't think the Victory comes close to the Mustang.-John

No argument with you on that. :(

The Victory is the most fun I ever had in a Flight Sim Game. It is like you are riding a rocket.. and you are!Get EZDok also and it is a blast.jja

I couldn't agree more. The Mustang is a masterpiece. Nothing has ever come close in my opinon and I have the other products discussed here. They are all good. But the Mustang is simply amazing. Just make sure your system can handle it. If not, then get it after your next system uppgrade.Rob

Oh yes, and that is what William Ortis always responds with when the FDE are challenged on the Kodiak and Epic LT!But the fact of the matter - with no emotion or mallice intended - is that the current Lionheart offerings are just not right in the FDE departments, espcially around power and thrust. The ground handling of the Victory is awful and the flight handling is sadly not much better. Compare Lionheart FDE's to those of Eaglesoft, Flight 1 PC-12 etc etc and you'll see that the former just aren't right.Turbine lag is one thing but anyone who thinks that a PT6 behaves in this way, has not experienced the real thing. Not intending the bash Bill Ortis but it is a shame that he does not appear responsive to this feedback. Some guy mentioned it in a review on Simmarket and Bill Ortis blasted him for it!

I find them to be similar - on my end the Mustang achieve about 15-20% less fps than the X does
