  1. So here are my impressions following an inaugural flight: Exterior: the Flight1 team did a great job capturing the beauty of the King Air VC: Looks great with lots of systems and the G1000 is light years ahead of the default implementation - the SafeTaxi feature is very, very cool. Model: I've never flown a King Air so I can't comment on realism, but having flown light twins the airplane feels as I would expect Performance: I have a 3-year old machine running a GTX480 and am experiencing smooth, mid-20 frame-rates - about the same thing I see with the PMDG 737. Overall, great job by the Flight1 team. You can tell they put a lot of love into this airplane. OK, off for another flight... /Dave
  2. Looks like a Sabreliner to me.
  3. This airplane ranks in my top 3 going back to the SubLogic days. While the VC textures are not great, every other aspect of the airplane enables you to look past that with ease.
  4. As an offline 182T pilot who's been waiting a long time for this I can honestly say this representation is spot on. True to it's real life counterpart this airplane is a pleasure to fly and the G1000 depth and quality is impressive. As for the price, you get what you pay for. I have no problems spending $50 for an add-on of this caliber. I only wish those $20-$40 half-baked planes sitting in my hangar had a refund policy./Dave
  5. Flight One Mustang - no brainer.
  6. I've tried a variety of tweaks with my 480GTX but with some of the more resource intensive add-ons I'm seeing framerate jumps anywhere between 25-100FPS just sitting on the ground. Does anybody have any suggestions that may bring some stability?Thanks.Davei7-930 @ 3.36Ghz, 12g 1333Mhz DDR3, Windows-7 x64 Home Professional
  7. I picked up the Fly The Maddog MD80 package over this weekend and was blown away. It's beautiful to hand fly and the systems modeling leaves nothing to be desired. /Dave

I've been mulling over this one but I'm still not clear on what between CLS and PMDG means. Do you need the APU running to start the engines? Does the FMC model the major functions used correctly? Thanks.Dave
  9. Thanks all - I was hoping the 470 could make up for the lack of processor power. I returned the card and ordered a new PC with a 480 included. Thanks again./Dave

Hands down my favorite FS aircraft (ever) - beautiful to fly, look at and operate. I'm a real world user of the G1000 and the level simulated is a good balance for the price tag. As Gazzareth said, with the 30-day refund you have nothing to lose./Dave
  11. I picked up a GTX 470 yesterday hoping to give my older system a shot in the arm. Unfortunately though performance is actually worse after upgrading from an 8800 GT. I was sure to uninstall the older drivers, run Driver Sweeper in safe mode, and install the latest version of DirectX. I'm at a loss at this point and thought I'd seek some feedback before returning the card. Here are my specs:Dell Dimension 9200Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 (1.86GHz)Windows 7 Ultimate4GB RAMCorsair 650W PSUThanks guys.Dave
  12. Looks promising - anybody pick it up yet?/Dave
  13. The Mustang is a true work of art and hands down the best business jet ever developed for MSFS. I challenge anyone to point me to another business jet whose manufacturer has linked to the simulated version on the real airplanes landing page (see http://www.cessna.com/citation/mustang.html).As far as performance goes, you've got 30-days to try it on your system or simply return it. Although with *******'s tweaks, aren't performance issues a thing of the past ?/DavePP-ASEL
  14. Let's not overlook the fact this Mustang was developed out of an official partnership between Flight1 and Cessna. The only other aircraft that I know of that has the approval of the real developer is the ATR. Do you critics out there really believe Cessna would sign off on a product that did not accurately represent their product?Cessna/Flight1 Mustang Partnership LetterAlthough I was part of the beta, I have no stake in the success of this airplane. That being said as a real world Private Pilot and simmer for over 20 years this airplane could easily be my favorite add-on aircraft ever produced./Dave
  15. I'm sure it's a quality product, but too rich for my blood.
  16. The Flight1 Citation Mustang!http://mustang.flight1.net/Dave
  17. This scenery does look good - is it compatible with FSX?
  18. Rich, can you send me a Private Message when you have a moment. I have a question about your program and don't want to bore everyone else.Thanks.Dave
  19. I second this - the Legacy is fantastic./Dave
  20. >Yup you are crazy ...because you will not be able to...well>not in the VC anyway. No worries there, I'm not a VC flyer. I'll upload some pics after I merge the two./Dave
  21. Am I crazy for wanting to drop those new Flight One Avidyne displays in this puppy?I sure love those old gauges but I'm not sure I can help myself here./Dave
  22. I know neither version it out yet but I'm already leaning towards Feelthere. The Feelthere Legacy is a simply spectacular aircraft to fly and as previously discussed has a throughly modeled FMC and avionics suite. Eye candy is nice but I'm more focused on the techincal aspect of flying. Also knowing I won't have to buy it again if I ever upgrade to FSX is a plus!/Dave
  23. Can one of you guys who owns it provide a little more detail...How much functionality is included in the cockpits? How do the carrier ops work?Thanks./Dave

  25. It's a fanstastic plane, and with Flight One's 30 day refund you've got nothing to lose.
