April 29, 201016 yr Would appreciate one of you who buys it to give us some gouge on the custom Garmin 430 included in it...specifically whether it's just another variation on the tired old theme of putting lipstick on a pig and re-packaging the crappy stock GPS from FSX, or if it's a real lat nav solution that will allow building/changing routes on the fly.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case

April 30, 201016 yr It is just the default one changed around a little bit. That's why I got the RXP one installed asap!OK, thanks. So they left the 3D knobs off? Is there room for a GNS 530 on the panel?CheersBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
April 30, 201016 yr OK, thanks. So they left the 3D knobs off? Is there room for a GNS 530 on the panel? The default model has the 3D knobs on it but they include other models without them so you're fine.I'm not sure if the 530 will work or not. I'd have to open it up in FSPS. I'm at school now so I can't do that :\ Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!
April 30, 201016 yr I just downloaded it this evening, what a great plane! I'm going to have to go through the manual a bit though. I've not actually flown one of these in real life. I also grabbed the 172 for FSX while ordering, and I actually spend some quality time before dinner flying in some rough actual winds. I'm going to have to fly that on a more realistic day to see how good the handling really is!Meanwhile, the Bonanza is beautiful! It's got a much heavier feel than I was expecting. My ONE landing so far was nerve-wracking trying to nail my approach! Cool beans.

I'm at school now so I can't do that :\I just picked one of the models - the one with the gray on top or the cowling and replaced the GNS430 with a GNS530 and resized and relocated the GPS popup and added the click spots. First indication is that it works fine. The in-panel 530 is squeezed on the vertical axis but the indicators look correct. It is easier for me to use the click on the face popup to work the buttons and dials and then click to return to the in-panel view. So I didn't do anything other than power on and press enter for Garmin startup. Because the 530 has nav/com1 built-in I will play around with removing the existing carenado nav/com1 and use that space in the panel for a full sized (vertical) 530, maybe later this week. I am working at a golf tournament and I'm dead tired each evening. I started the download, installed, flew about 10 - 15 minutes, changed out the 430/530 in 90 minutes, but, I'm headed for a cup of coffee and off the bed. First round of the tournament is 7:30 tee time. Champions Tour - Biloxi MS. Hole Captain, hole 17.Here are a couple of pictures, I'm showing you the after, you already have the before if you own the plane.RayM When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
April 30, 201016 yr OK, thanks. So they left the 3D knobs off? Is there room for a GNS 530 on the panel? There is an alternate model included with no knobs, BUT, looks like no 530 can be made to work (with out a model re-do or a squeeze job like above). The GPS slot is in a different VCockpit panel than the rest of the stack, and sequentially the stack does not line up - visually you have Audio Panel / GPS/ Radio2 / 2ADFs / Transponder. In the panel cfg / layout you have the audio panel in Vcockpit3 and the two ADFs below that but not on the same vertical line, then RADIO2 below the 2 ADFs (even though it is visually above). GPS is in VCockpit04.430 drops in just fine though.Joe Joe Lorenc
April 30, 201016 yr She also will get out of a smaller ariport. This is taking off from Concrete Muni in PNW, 3W5, 2,720 ft length, 300 ft msl, noon today. One notch flaps, full power runup with brakes on. Short field takeoff technique. Sounds good. looks good, feels like the elevator needs some tweaking in the airfile.RayM When Pigs Fly . April 30, 201016 yr Should add to my post above that one - no regret and a great ac (with a fews tweaks to the flight model).I know Carenado listened to the 3D knobs issue - KUDOs for that. AND Kudos for giving a CLEAR Glass option too.It would be nice if they would lay out their VC radio stacks in a more conventional manner. Meaning that in the radio stack the first gauge was at 0/0, the next below that, and so on, thus allowing us to fully modify and re-arrange the stack. As it stands now, various parts of the stack are not lined up in the cfg, in different VCOCKPIT sections, etc.Joe Joe Lorenc
April 30, 201016 yr Author Love the black and white livery for it. Sure wish it had a US reg number.Rob
