I enjoy places where information that is important for the buyers doesnt get deleted...Where persons like Baylan can warn everybody about an internal situation that have external consequences and dont get shut up...I will rest my case. I have far more in life to do, other that to be arguing here what is right or what is wrong with you guys...uve cleary have ur idea...and ive got mine.Regards,M

Marcio, you may believe your own delusions but it does not follow that the rest of us do.What I know for a fact is that the Avsim Mods have the highest integrity and absolutely do not favor developers over users and I have the PMs to prove it.Try the truth and see how that fits. :(

Just an obvious question Marcio. How do you know that "Baylan" or anyone one else in this situation is telling the truth or the whole story.Because you met them on the internet? Because you believe a site that has ripped off Avsim's name?If so, I have someone in Nigeria who is willing to give you millions of dollars.I get emails from him from time to time-I haven't responded but you might want to.
Because Im an ET Member.Because i had already tought and driven my own conclusions about this, way before Baylan posting anything, based both on public facts and my own experience as a programmer. I dont have anything against the site that ripped ur name... as i wouldnt have against flightsim.su or any other...i do not belong to that battle...everyone has the same passion for aviation and interest in FSDevelopment....and u guys are by very far the real AVSIM...when i commented about avsim.su i didnt even know that there was such an issue between u and them.
Good. Now that you've rested your case, the jury finds you guilty of ignorance on this matter and sentences you to another forum where such blatant misrepresentation of facts is acceptable. We could not have been any more clear in this matter. Geof and I both made it astoundingly clear to even the most unintelligent among us that post in favor of or opposed to Airsimmer products are still perfectly acceptable. We simply have no use for internal issues to be aired here. That has nothing to do with the end product, especially since the accusations are in dispute with neither side providing evidence.
ok. u seem to not understand that im not arguing about Avsim defending the developers anymore. i already said "ok" to ur first post thus agreeing with u in what u said."accusations are in dispute with neither side providing evidence" ... facts dont need evidence...but if u want evidence do buy the Basic Airsimmer Version... ET member... anyone know what that means? Nope, didn't think so. :( Why is the entire point of the thread deletion so hard to understand? Language barrier perhaps? At AVSIM (the real site) you can discuss developers and their product, though you can't bash. You can not discuss a developer's internal issues/situations. They don't belong here.

ET = Extended Team Program. In other words you pay to be a beta tester ($56.95) On release, you get the release version, the expansion of the rest of the A320 family (If they ever are made) and FS9 patches. I believe it was offered prior to release, when they were only going to make the full advanced version. Which actually wouldn't have been a bad deal, if they followed through.

Thanks

Apart from 'Extended Team Members', here's another possibility:ET Member = 'Extra Terrestrial Member'!......... :(

Can't imagine why anyone would advocate for internal dirty laundry discussions here at Avsim.Ooops, forgot that there are those who enjoy watching trainwrecks. :(

One side says you owe me money, the other side says no I don't. Niether side provides any proof. How is watching that debate beneficial to the end user? I agree that Airsimmer has done a horrible job communicating with their customers, and I was just as dissatisfied with the basic version release as anyone else. But how is watching people argue about who owes who money, especially without a single shred of evidence being offered, suppose to help any of us? And being on the extended team doesn't put anyone closer to being able to prove one side of the argument or the other. There's no room for that soap opera here.
Jeremy,I've been a member of this forum for "years" and I've never seen a moderator "put his foot on the neck of a poster" the way you did here. I mean, red text and harsh words. In my opinion, this does not reflect the professional way of doing business that AVSIM has performed over many years. The entire community does not need this type of response. If you don't agree with a poster either lock the thread or provide a calm, professional response that supports the AVSIM environment. Making petty arguments is not where we are. Members of staff must stay above this level of user responses. It only makes matters worse and I can assure you that it makes you look just as much a moron that these users are when they engage in this type of posting. Come on guy.Frank

And I can assure you that I am beyond the point of caring what your opinion is of how I, or any other moderator handle matters. You see what is available to the public, and I see what is and is not available for everyone else to see. You don't see what the posters have said that are no longer visible to you. You don't see their comments to our forums e-mail or through PM. And you don't see the countless reports. You also don't see the numerous PMs, reports, and e-mails that disagree with your analysis, which far, far, far exceed those who agree with you, or are at least willing to admit to it. Earn Tom's trust, become a moderator, and I am absolutely positive your opinion will change. Mine has, as has everyone else to do the job. You comment on what you can see. Join the team and see the other side of the story and I suspect you'll see things in a different light. And by the way, the post you replied to is a horrible example if you were trying to make some kind of point. There was nothing not calm or professional about that.

And THAT is EXACTLY why you need to be more professional and calm. We do NOT get to see those things , only your response, thereby putting you in the same light as the original poster.I will refrain from responding to your very first line - reads like your giving the verbal finger to the poster you are replying to. Really very UNmoderator like.Through the years, I have always been a supporter of Avsim and it's moderators - it's a tough and sometimes thankless job.Sadly, your response does more harm than good. And, for the record, I don't even know who Airsimmer is/are.You might want to take a chill pill before coming out "in public" and do your venting (rightly so) in the moderator's private forum.Everyone is entitled to a mistake or two! :)Vic
