On the other topic about delays,,,One thing to keep in mind is that PMDG are doing things in this release that they (or I think anyone) has ever done before. It is "Possible" that they got all the way to the end and are working on a bug. No matter what time frame was given, fixing something serious is never in the plans for any dev and like others have already pointed it out is one reason PMDG and most Devs don't like to give release dates. You NEVER know what might happen and personally I want a finished product and rather wait now then pull my hair out later. As for the names, all I'm going to say on the matter is Ryan has stated several times in this thread alone that he's had to delete many posts because of it. So all you rebels are creating more work for PMDG while you try and speak your case. Now he once again has to go through all these posts and delete them once again. To try and save him time and maybe help detour the subject somewhere else and away from this thread, I created this one. Feel free to voice your opinions there, at least that way there is only one more thing to delete rather than several.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/299581-name-signing-rule/

First post on AVSIM forums, been lurking watching this thread every day. Fingers crossed for a new update!!!Daniel Johnston

Hi guys, I too am standing bye. Also, It's kinda nice having a Dad and cousin working for American One Flying the MD-82 and the other in the 737... I really love this.

Im getting my PC ready for the release. Can anyone answer the following questions so that I can get my system as realistic as possible... What framerates do real world boeing 737s achieve in areas of dense scenery and how much RAM does the real thing have?ThanksRob
Rob your question is a little confusing. Are you asking what frame rates you get in real life in dense areas of scenery? The answer is..... The same rates as you get in sparse areas. The human eye can take in a huge amount of information and it certainly doesn't start to shutter or slow down once more dense visuals are being looked at. The only time a human reduce their visual frame rates is when their on drugs or intoxicated and from first hand experience I can tell you when I use to get drunk as a younger lad my frame rates got as low as 8 frames per second at best.....lol. If you want to compare a computer specs with a human it's like comparing the cicumference of an ant hill with circumference of the galaxy we are but a speck in. But interested to know if that's what you meant. Your second question can be answered with the last two sentences also. Hope that helps. Ideally if you want a smooth fligh in dense area you going to need to attain around 30 to 40 frames per second at least and I've noticed some guys on here have up to 12 gig of ram using win7 64bit which seems impressive to have all that working for youMike Kendall

I think his question was an attempt to lighten things up a little.

The excitement is killing me!! LOL :(

It is still interresting about the frames in real life. When you are under extreme stress and have to react very fast, fx. if you are seconds away from getting hit by a car or have to react to an extreme emergency flying an airliner at 400 feet and suddenly looses All engine power, your brain Will change your vision to black and white and speed up the amount of inputs your eyes/brain normally deals with. This way you get more "time" to react as the worlds FPS seems to drop. This is also why a fly often seems to be able to get away when you try to hit it (+ a couple of more eyes than you :-))

Everyone has probably directed their attention to the new thread that was started yesterday evening. RSR posted the update in this new thread. Ethan Rayhorn
