August 22, 201015 yr I've been using Traffic X for the past few months, but now that my FSX SSD HD decided to poop out on me, I've been looking at other options while I send it back to be replaced, and I hear a lot about My Traffic X.. however, I'm not sure which one is the version I want to buy and try out. Traffic X is decent, but support for it is nearly non-existent and there hasn't been an update for over a year so I want to try out MTX. Pretty sure I want the B. Renk version, but just want to double check with all you users out there that that is the better MT.Thanks
August 22, 201015 yr This is the best supported version.http://secure.simmar...fic-x-pro.phtml Cheers, Andy.

August 22, 201015 yr I have to agree. Andy is spot on. Burkhard's support for My Traffic over the years has been top notch. Hence why I have been and will be be a loyal supporter of his product.

Hence why I have been and will be be a loyal supporter of his product.i have been using MT since it first came out a long time ago. i agree that you get exceptional support with it. could not be any better.however, i just "switched" to Ultimate Traffic 2 (flight 1) because i just wasn't happy with the models of MT. the airliners in UT2 just look a lot better than the ones in MT. just compare the pictures that you can find on the simmarket website with the ones on the UT2 website (flight1.com).regards,Denis Denis Kosbeck KPHX
August 22, 201015 yr Denis with all due respect the OP asked which version of MyTrafficX he should get. Cheers, Andy.
August 22, 201015 yr I don't have UT, but I did just upgrade to MyTRAFFIC X V5.3 PROFESSIONAL, and I can't say enough good things about it. Aircraft look good and it is not a fps killer with heavy traffic. I am running my traffic sliders at 50% and have heavy ai's and no fps hit.Bob

Offtopic question...MyT doesn't have real life schedules right ?
August 22, 201015 yr They are based on proper schedules yes but they don't go to the lengths that some other developers do regarding accuracy. If they only used real schedules and didnt add fictional extra flights too then you would get people complaining that there isn't enough traffic at the airports, like they do with UT2. Cheers, Andy.

If they only used real schedules and didnt add fictional extra flights too then you would get people complaining that there isn't enough traffic at the airports, like they do with UT2.The reason people complain about not enough traffic in UT2 isn't because they use real schedules. It's because of the way it is injected. Which only injects aircraft within minutes of it's departure/arrival. This is especially apparent late night, when aircraft that would be at the gates waiting for the morning departures disappear, until 20 minutes of scheduled departure. I use WOAI, (Sometimes I use UT2, because of video recording issues with FS9 modeled aircaft, which WOAI uses when I record) which also uses real schedules, and this is not a problem. You get a realistic amount of airline traffic (per Airline) that would normally be at an airport for the time of day. If you have installed most airlines, you should have a realistic airport population. The problem I have with MyTraffic and Traffic X, is this is greatly exaggerated and there is much more traffic then is realistic. Some like that, but I prefer more realistic levels! Many aircraft in MTX 5.3 have been upgraded, and are now sufficiently (for me) realistic that I don't notice any bad apples anymore. There are also very adequate populations of GA and military where one would expect them - which UT didn't have when I first tried it. The disappearing and reappearing and empty parking spaces was enough for me to reject it as a necessary addon to FSX. I purchased MTX 5.2 abut three weeks after UT2 and was immediately sold on the product. It was a snap to set up and has been reliable and predictable during every sim session. August 22, 201015 yr Folks this isn't what the OP asked for, we don't need yet another thread detailing the merits and deficiencies of these products, the OP has already decided that he wants MTX, he just wasn't sure which version to get. Cheers, Andy.
August 22, 201015 yr Denis with all due respect the OP asked which version of MyTrafficX he should get.you're right, Andy. i guess my brain was not awake yet... only my fingers were ;) Denis Kosbeck KPHX
August 22, 201015 yr Author You can feel free to continue the discussion if you want.I've used UT2, Tx, and now I'll be testing out MTX, and I can say I enjoyed Tx a lot more than UT2. I like a lot of traffic and different planes everywhere, and MTX looks like it has a lot more support, updates and planes (as well as VTBS (my home airport) integrated with the traffic, which is nice). So I'll be seeing whether I like this one more, or if I'll go back to Tx.
