Yeah, I have noticed it also once in a while.Although as nice looking as the new forums are, they are a lot slower that the old forums, at least on my computer. Thats the only thing I dont like about the new forum.

I'm having the exact same speed. Oh, I did get some slowdowns from googleanalytics earlier, but those happened after the AVSIM content was loaded and displayed in my browser. It did appear that Firefox was not finished loading the page, but that was just some ads or something that I really didnt care about.

Have to agree with Gwee.

I have noticed that the forums are much slower loading between pages since the upgrade. I have a 10MBit cable and its usually blisteringly fast. Glad some of you are noticing the slowdown....Hamish

I've noted the same issue, forums much slower. Have more options been turned on lately causing this problem?Clicking this topic took .88 to load. And going back to the main board takes over 1 second.RJ

We have very different standards for the definition of "slow".Even with fast connections at both ends accessing a web page often requires an exchange of data through a dozen or more intermediate locations. The drive heads in the host computer often have to change cylinders. It's good for your eyes to look away from your monitor occasionally anyway, especially if you glance across the room or out the window.Barely over a second "slow" !?

Takes me anywhere from 1 to 10 seconds to access each AVSIM page/topic/posting- most of the time about 4-5 seconds. My Internet service is classed as High Speed- at least that's what I'm paying for. All other websites/pages display almost instantaneously.Alex Reid

Last night when I posted that, response was faster, and during the day response sometimes almost reaches 2 seconds. Clicking this thread only took 1.5 seconds today.Different standards for sure.

The results vary very distinctively. Simply put, I've tested the forum's connection on three sites: my room, my mother's WiFi, and my class' LAN. It took me a mere 1.5 seconds to reach at least a single thread at home, but it took over a devastating 8 second wait at school and on my FS computer! Dave.

Yesterday I did have some trouble accessing the forums, must have been a temporary hiccup.Bad weather perhaps.:(
