Is the VC in the Citation X very good? In some of the pics and videos, it looks like it is kinda low res and many 2D objects.
It's very readable and I think it's a great VC. The knobs are 3d. The screenshots might be of the older version o the site.

Flat and not so crisp in some areas, yes. Definitely nowhere near PMDG JS41, A2A B17 or F1 Mustang quality. I feel hunger for high quality Mach 0.8 bizjet too, but somehow i always end up flying F1 Mustang or some other non-bizjet planes. Maybe i just need to forget about VC quality for a moment and force myself to study Citation X systems more and test flying capabilites. Maybe :( Good thing about both F1 Mustang and ES Citation X is that they come with 30-day refund option if you don't like them.If you're VC junkie like me, you might wanna check out this screens:Glareshield3d switches sticking out of 2d lowres bitmap - sorry Eaglesoft, but this APU panel is simply ugly Raised%20Eyebrow.gif
You do not have the latest version where that anomoly was corrected. Suggest you redownload and reinstall to bring yourself up to date.Big%20Grin.gif

Fully agree with you, ryanbatcund. Very nice VC indeed and I personally only miss some popups and the correction of the night lighting on the 2D APU popup. Also the FO side baro knob is mixed up, but as I usually fly left :( and also think that this is a small glitch, I'm very confident with that aircraft. Very good atmosphere in the VC and perfectly fluent displays with the new hypergauge technique.rdb, I found "simply ugly" to be inappropriate to be used in public forums when you describe the work of people. I hope I'm not alone with this opinion. Errors, glitches and design flaws should be described clearly, but never abusive, especially when using outdated screenshots.

So does this mean that you are planning to upgrade your entire bizjet line to the level of the Citation X 2.0?
Well yes and no...The Raytheon Premier1 is not on schedule for the Extreme 2.0 Full FMS/Navigraph Build Level and neither is the Citation CII/SP.Having said that, both may prove to be viable candidates for such treatment in the future but there are other projects which will have precedence.:(

Id agree with rdb, he hasnt been inappropriate at all, this is payware not freeware, if it was being distributed free of charge then you cannot moan as it costs you nothing apart from a bit of time, but when you are paying for a product then you have EVERY right to say what you wish about a product. But as N400QW has stated this has now been rectified.

No, you do not have any right to say what you wish about a product. You can be honest. Insulting if you desire, but that makes your statement less than honest. However, you can not ever say 'what you wish'. This applies to all of us. Also, AVSIM no longer takes kindly to abusive posts regarding developers and/or their products. Insults can be abusive.I'll take constructive criticism... but I won't tolerate someone who's abusive or who has a personal agenda... and I wouldn't expect anyone else to.Now, I don't think the post from 'rdb' is particularly bad... but it is inaccurate.

Where is the rule that if you purchase something you have every right to call it ugly or otherwise slam the product? By the way, the anomoly was fixed long ago...A mature and appropriate measure would be to first be sure that your complaint has been either dealt with by the dev in question, will be dealt with by the dev in question, or return the product for a full refund. In any of the three scenarios above the customer will be satisfied. Further to the point, all other potential customers have the same right to product satisfaction or refund as outlined.Big%20Grin.gif

Gotcha, thanks. Getting off topic, but I was in Little Rock a few weeks back, and it occurred to me that, as far as I know, there's no Dassault Falcon for FSX. Ahem. :(

Im not talking about slamming a product or being abusive, but if you hand over your hard earned cash then you can say if you think the product is worth your money or not. And no where did I state in my previous post that anyone should be abusive or attack some one personally, very sorry if it came across that way.

Customer satisfaction requires that devs offer a refund option to those who cannot otherwise be satisfied.Customers who do not avail themselves of such an option really have no basis to publicly bash something which may have already been improved or adressed.:( By the way, Eaglesoft supports the effort by F1 on their Mustang and see no reason for users to criticize that project as well.

Thanks everybody!Id like to come to rdb's defense. I don't think he was being ugly to ES. Second of all, I didn't know about the 30 day return period. To be fair, I will try both the citation x and the mustang. Thanks!

My sincere apologies.I thought i had latest version installed, but it looks like i somehow missed an update. As soon as i get home i'll redownload wrapper from your site, reinstall and revise my opinions on Citation VC.

I had no idea it was abusive. English is not my native language. Turns out i made faux pas, so pardon me.
No, you do not have any right to say what you wish about a product.
Not sure if i get your point here. Assuming you can tell others what you like about a product (lots of such threads on these forums, especially right after release of an addon), can't you at the same time point out what you dislike? And if i dislike something, doesn't it imply that i wish it was better? There's a thin line between giving off weak points (always in your humble opinion), and someone telling you that you don't have right to spell out your wishes. Same as with constructive critisicism and someone calling you personal agenda troll. Depends on intentions of the poster. Very hard to find out and easy to misjudge. If you disagree with above, then i think there's no other way, but to agree to differ :(

Regards,

Radek

What he meant was that you have to choose your words when writing about a liked or not so much liked product in public forums. Opinions should be clear and are welcome but shouldn't come with "strong words".What he did not mean was that you can't say your opinion about something. So the one thing is what you can say (everything of course) in forums and the other one how you say it (meaning a somehow polite manner).Looks like you are very good in this language and "ugly" isn't a word that can't be replaced by another, more appropriate, expression, don't you think? In fact, that was the only expression of your posts I pointed my words at. There were some guys working on the looks of a product which of course costs money. But this money wasn't spent to call their products whatever you like them to be called.

Apology accepted. To repeat my earlier response....."A mature and appropriate measure would be to first be sure that your complaint has been either dealt with by the dev in question, will be dealt with by the dev in question, or return the product for a full refund. In any of the three scenarios above the customer will be satisfied.  In this case, to indicate that the poster was incorrect in his assessment because there was an update that corrected the problem .. is appropriate.  But, to then go on and tell folks that they cant give an opinion in a forum doesn't feel quite right to me...
