October 5, 201015 yr I have the feeling you failed to read throughly. In this very thread I already stated I didn't see a problem with his post. Perhaps in your rush to post you missed that? :(No, I did not.
October 5, 201015 yr I remember back when the Citation X 2.0 was first released there was an issue involving I believe the FADEC and the hardware throttles from PFC who Pete Dowson makes a dll for to use the PFC stuff with fsx. I remember I did not buy it due to this issue and I think someone from ES said they were looking into it at the time. Has this issue ever been resolved? Can one use PFC hardware with this plane? Eric

We do not have a PFC unit to test so can't provide any information on how that was accomplished.
October 5, 201015 yr Where is the rule that if you purchase something you have every right to call it ugly ...In the National Archives in Washington DC (you asked :( )BTW The ES Citation X was one of my favorites in FS9 and I'll be getting the new one when I have enough spare cash.
January 6, 201115 yr ...as far as I know, there's no Dassault Falcon for FSX...Yes it's a pitty there is no Dassault bizjets around in the Payware market. I believe there is no restriction imposed by Dassault-Aviation or their Falcon branch, like it's the case apparently with Gulfstream. There is a nice freeware Dassault Falcon 50 made by Yannick Lavigne, Rob Young and Fred Banting. It was made way back in 2001, and it still looks very good in FSX. With a little team of dedicated simmers we made the FSX conversion recently and it was published just in time for X-Mas at Aquitaine Simulation (in the "Téléchargements" section). This is the 1976 version of the Falcon 50, complete with analog gauges and ash-tray for pilot and copilot... And remember, it's a port-over, so no DX10 texture, no bumps map, no FSX SDK 3d model, etc... But the VC is quite nice, wonderful actually, the passenger area is included too, the plane is very easy on FPS, flight dynamics are pretty good, overall Lavigne, Banting and Young made an outstanding job back then. And the trijet layout is so exotic...Anyway, my point is that a payware Dassault Falcon 50EX (the glass cockpit version from the 80's), or the 7X variant would quite a welcome addition to the "six-pack" freeware version. I'd buy it right away!"FSX Panel conversion made by Ludovic "vonstroheim" with Eric Dantès for the FS9 version, André "esmdu" for the virtual cockpit fix, Philippe Wallaert for the new xml gauges, and Don "fxsttcb" Bodenstedt for the overhead panel and avionics expertise. Conversion made with the authorization of all original creators."
January 8, 201115 yr Hey I just downloaded Lavigne's Dassault 50 and I think that's the best freeware jet I have. Is there a way to add the pilot figure in the cockpit from the external view though? The doc file is in French. Also I went in the config and changed the gps to the fs9 one. It was already typed in I just had to move the slash marks to turn it on.I downloaded the bus jet texture from the avsim download. It didn't work until I replaced all of the texture files from the main texture folder to the new texture folder. Replaced them all except a couple that were the outside FUS textures and wing textures, now the old repaint works.Check out the passenger cabin in the pic.
January 8, 201115 yr ...It didn't work until I replaced all of the texture files from the main texture folder to the new texture folderWhen installing a new repaint, for this plane or any other (only in FSX), no need to copy texture from the default texture folder, just add a texture.cfg file in the new texture folder containing theses lines:[fltsim]fallback.1=..\texturefallback.2=..\..\..\..\Scenery\Global\texturefallback.3=..\..\..\..\..\..\Scenery\Global\textureAnd for the crew to show (from the outside), turn on the lights !
January 8, 201115 yr A bit O/T, since this is an older thread, and has already bounced around a bit itself:I've always thought the default Lear had a decent exterior model.. and since FSX gives us the ability to build interior models independent of the exterior model.. A reealy good Lear interior model, including the passenger cabin, would be a nice thing to have. I'd prefer a 'vintage' Lear cockpit, with realistic systems from startup, to in-flight-management, to navigation, and shutdown.Better sounds would be good, too.
January 8, 201115 yr I agree, the xtreme prototypes looks like it has a decent "steam" cockpit... not sure how far the systems modeling goes though...http://20series.xtremeprototypes.com/en/Other than that there's a exterior model only Lear 23 here: (I actually like that mdl better than the xtreme one except no VC)http://secure.simmarket.com/franz-luftfahrt-learjet-23.phtml | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
January 9, 201115 yr There is a nice freeware Dassault Falcon 50 made by Yannick Lavigne, Rob Young and Fred Banting. It was made way back in 2001, and it still looks very good in FSX. Thanks for that link!I liked the Falcon back when... and I still like it today!Never expected to see it in FSX, but here it is, still looking good! Bert
