October 3, 201015 yr Hi guys,I really want to be able to fly a nice BizJet, but it doesn't seem like I can find any good ones. I know everybody says to get the flight1 mustang, but that looks to be a little too much glass to me. I like to fly a pilots plane. For example I love managing systems and being in an aircraft that you really fly. I like some glass, like the default Lear. Any suggestions? Thanks! Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)

Thanks!The Citation X is what you want then... but honestly I feel the Mustang is a pilot's plane as well. It's very light and nimble - it can easily handle like a cessna prop in the pattern, or on short fields. You don't have to fly autopilot just because it's got glass ;) | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

October 3, 201015 yr Well, I would also recommend the Eaglesoft Citation II, it's great and all systems are very intuitive.Greg. "It goes without saying that when survival is threatened, struggles erupt between peoples, and unfortunate wars between nations result." -HIDEKI TOJO

Thanks!I'm going to get off topic a bit, but here goes. This is in reference to "pilots" & "glass".For starters, I have come to the conclusion, that when it comes to desk top flight simming, that "glass" isn't all that fun. I suppose there is more to do, when you can dial & chase around VORs rather than look at some lack luster repeating scenery. I'm not even that much of a glass fan, when it comes to flight simulation. But let's go to real life now. I'm active and read a lot within the Experimental Aviation forums. I built and own an "experimental" class airplane (Van's RV6A). Within these forums, you'll find pilots from numerous backgrounds such as military, commercial pilots, bush pilots, an Airbus 380 test pilot, a NASA space shuttle boss, as well as many GA pilots. What they have in common, is that they still like aviation beyond work hours.Anyway, when it comes to real life flight, and creating a panel the way you'd like...........glass is IN, and six pacs are OUT! Glass offers far more information than was ever concievable with the older methods. I know of no one, who'd just as soon go back to the old ways, unless it's just short flights around the patch. In fact, within these "experimental forums", the better glass get's, then the more exciting it is. Afterall, we get to install these systems our selves. So in my mind, as well as many others........glass is very much a pilots airplane. It's certainly different, but provides the pilot with far more information at a moments notice, than was ever possible before. It's great to know at a glance, what the weather is for hundreds of miles in all directions, as well as current TFR locations, and precision fuel monitoring. And of course, glass offers far more, and especially for IFR operations! At the moment, I'm still the basic six pac... panel wise. But I do use a Garmin 696 portable GPS which is capable of satellite weather, as well as running the auto-pilot & fuel monitoring system. In my future, I can see "glass" with synthetic vision. That's what I'd really like!L.Adamson
October 3, 201015 yr Thanks! How about the eaglesoft beechjet? The Beechjet 400 is perfectly suited right now sans full FMS. There are plans to build a new Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400 Extreme 2.0 Series with full FMS and Navigraph DB in 2011.
October 3, 201015 yr The Beechjet 400 is perfectly suited right now sans full FMS. There are plans to build a new Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400 Extreme 2.0 Series with full FMS and Navigraph DB in 2011. So does this mean that you are planning to upgrade your entire bizjet line to the level of the Citation X 2.0?
October 3, 201015 yr Is the VC in the Citation X very good? In some of the pics and videos, it looks like it is kinda low res and many 2D objects.Flat and not so crisp in some areas, yes. Definitely nowhere near PMDG JS41, A2A B17 or F1 Mustang quality. I feel hunger for high quality Mach 0.8 bizjet too, but somehow i always end up flying F1 Mustang or some other non-bizjet planes. Maybe i just need to forget about VC quality for a moment and force myself to study Citation X systems more and test flying capabilites. Maybe :( Good thing about both F1 Mustang and ES Citation X is that they come with 30-day refund option if you don't like them.If you're VC junkie like me, you might wanna check out this screens:Glareshield3d switches sticking out of 2d lowres bitmap - sorry Eaglesoft, but this APU panel is simply ugly :( Regards, Radek
