October 23, 201015 yr Unreal! (Or should I say REAL!). Phenomenal work guys. Hats off to you. Can't wait to jump in the left seat! Tony
October 23, 201015 yr I must say, looking at the comparison shots with the FS2002/2004 era plane, it shows how dead on realistic the elder plane was, even though VCs were not the norm. For a first product, it still looks amazing. You even had a functional FMC rendered in the VC, no need to pull up a 2d window of the FMC!! Most of the older planes ported over to FSX still don't have that vital feature.I applaud your efforts, and I have no doubt the NGX will be the de facto new standard for FSX simulation! A.J. Domingo
October 23, 201015 yr Commercial Member I hate to delete positive posts, but if people continue to post without signing their name, that's what I'm gonna have to keep doing... As unlikely as this may seem, and since this question hasn't been asked before:Will the NGX feature a working weather radar with depictions on the Nav Display? That question most definitely has been asked ad nauseum actually. Our policy on weather radar is very clear and has been for a long time. If we can't simulate something realistically, we're not going to just fake it. If someone knows how to extract actual precipitation data from FSX, not just cloud type and location, please let us know and we'll be happy to make a radar.Make this multicrew capable and I'm set ;DThat is the plan. October 23, 201015 yr I haven't yet asked any questions other than if it would have the air file data required to do belly landings and such, but now I have a new and more important question.Did you model the first aid kit with Tylenol or Advil? And more importantly, if you modeled Tylenol then is it the kind that comes with Acetaminophen? Acetaminophen tends to make me a bit sick and dizzy. SO,,,, On that note, did you take that into consideration and then also model some Dramamine?Sorry if this has already been asked, but I'm just curious! i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
October 23, 201015 yr Commercial Member We have aspirin, acetaminophen and ibuprofen... there's also an automated external defibrillator in the front closet for all the heart attacks we know are going to happen when we finally put this up for sale. October 23, 201015 yr Sweet! Thanks Ryan! :Big Grin:And yes, I'm sure there may be some. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
October 23, 201015 yr We have aspirin, acetaminophen and ibuprofen... there's also an automated external defibrillator in the front closet for all the heart attacks we know are going to happen when we finally put this up for sale. I read this carefully and I deciphered the release date. 2 weeks :(
October 23, 201015 yr Author Commercial Member Wow! Very very nice update indeed. Thanks for the update Robert, and thanks too by the way for that other recent thing (also very much appreciated).Edit: The pogo stick must be in the hold again, or perhaps one of the wheel bays? :)Dan-Any time. This forum wouldn't function nearly as well without your help. The pogostick... Well... Funny story about the pogostick. You see- Jason got in the habit of bouncing up and down the length of the airplane on the pogostick while he was building out the LCF.He tried this a few weeks ago with the NGX, and unfortunately for him, the wing is quite a bit lower- so... <bam> yeah... ugly knock on top of the ol noggin'.Once he gets caught up- we'll finally be able to show the outside of the airplane. :( Robert S. October 23, 201015 yr Exelent!Great to hear it will inclue RNP!I was reading an article yesterday in the new Australian Aviation magazine about QANTAS 738 operations into Queenstown New Zealand. That is one amazing looking area! The article was written by a QANTAS 737 pilot who is qualified to fly into the airport. It was really intresting. The 738s that fly the route are fitted with highthrust 26k engines, HUGS, VSD and RNP. I don't know if the article is availble online but try australianaviation.com.auedit: I think you can buy an online edition of the latest mag. It's in the Nov 2010 issue.
October 23, 201015 yr Will it have multicrew? That is the plan.OMG multicrew yeh booi!!!P.S DNT MAKE FAIL ONE LOL
October 23, 201015 yr okay I'm floored. I was seriously doubtful about whether I'd like the 'lived in' look but having been in a 737 cockpit and just seeing the diff between the two pics, I'm really glad its in. O/T question - how fast can this bird go (ie. using the FSX sim rates) before it goes haywire? ie. 4x like the PMDG 747X? I'm going to be taking this puppy on long trips across the pacific (hello Pacific Blue!) but I prefer not to sit at my PC for 6 hours. :) oh and I'm assuming you'll have a 'pause at TOD' right?Just let me know the date, I have my c/card handy.
