December 5, 201015 yr And why he said Coming Soon? I think its beter when PMDG said 2011 , when not beta jet? @PMDG:PMDG 737NGX Release Date (Update: 29NOV10)UPDATED 29NOV10PMDG has a long standing tradition prohibiting us from providing release dates in advance. We do this in order to prevent "schedule pressure" from influencing our decisions related to product readiness for market.Right now, (as of 29NOV10) we can only say that the PMDG 737NGX will release "soon." Our previous guidance had been that we anticipated the release taking place during 2010, but as we transition from internal to external testing, we cannot consider any artificial deadlines imposed by the calendar, as these may negatively impact final product quality. Our goal is to provide you with a high quality, complete, problem-free 737 simulation experience, and we feel that the PMDG 737NGX will set an entirely new standard for desktop flight simulation. We understand that it is difficult for some customers to await this release, but we promise that the wait will be worth the final product! You can generally tell when the product is getting close to release because we start showing you very complete overviews of the airplane in our customer support forum. ^^^external testing = extern Beta?? ---------------------------------------------best regards Christian Urban Munich
December 5, 201015 yr Ryan has already stated that by external testing, they mean sending the alpha out to their technical advisors. I'm sure when they do go beta there will be a sticky at the top of the forum.
December 5, 201015 yr The fact that the manuals are out now in my opinion means that the plane will be released 2010. Maybe PMDG is waiting until Dec. 31, 2010 at 11:59:59Taylor Oldham
December 5, 201015 yr Well, I looked at it yesterday and it was still "Coming 2010". There are two options which might caused it to change:1) It really will be released "soon".2) They realized they can't release it 2010, so they had to change it.Yes I'm a wiseman! December 5, 201015 yr Don't mind me...I'll just be over here in the corner watching everyone work themselves up and parse words....oh, no wait...the popcorn was for one of the thousands of movies I can stream on Netflix instead of wasting time looking for hidden information on the interwebs.I can find other reasons for the popcorn too.... :( FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠 Matt Kubanda, 7950X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 5090@4k, MSFS 2024
December 5, 201015 yr Well, I think they would argue that 2010 isn't off the table, but I also think this means that they aren't so sure about 2010 anymore. Doug Orvis PP-ASEL-IA (USA), Based at KHEF Picture courtesy of Kyle Rodgers
December 5, 201015 yr or it could mean they are advancing through beta without problems and its on course for Xmas, dont just look at the negatives, anythings possible. Dylan Leonard
December 5, 201015 yr Commercial Member I think it's abundantly obvious that that means "Forgot about 2010"I am sad to agree with you Alex Ridge Join Fswakevortex here! YOUTUBE and FACEBOOK
December 5, 201015 yr It could of been, "Coming Soon" but they worded it "Coming SOON!" To me, that would suggest real soon. I think it will be obvious that we will not get it before christmas or possibly 2011 if it isn't released or put into beta by the 15th ~ 20th of December this year. But im busy enough as it is, a few reviews to write up, and beta testing an add-on. All having a life at the same time. :)
December 5, 201015 yr If I`m remembering right, then randazzo said that the manuals are the last thing to do in the chain of development. :Thinking:So I`m still hoping to see the baby in the sky of 2010! :( Daniel Gravanis - EDDH Many happy landings and always three green!
