I'd like to install a couple of RXP Flightline gauges, namely the Airspeed indicator, but do not see any entries for the big six gauges....any ideas?thanksgreg
Cannot be done... that is the trade-off with 3d gauges - they are part of the modeland only Carenado can change them... and lets hope they react to our feedback :(
Bert,Can you post the mods you made the cfg file for the 530 and Stec autopilot. I like that configuration. Thanks,John

One you can do, is install the FLT gauges as the Minipanel..that way you can fly with them visiblewhile admiring the scenery.. actually quite nice![Window05]position=7size_mm=315,206 child_3d=1background_color=0,0,0window_size= 0.2813, 0.2942 no_luminous=1ident=MINIPANELgauge00=RXPFLT!Airspeed, 0,0,98,98gauge01=RXPFLT!KI256, 108,0,98,98gauge02=RXPFLT!Altimeter, 215,0,98,98gauge03=RXPFLT!TurnCoordinator, 0,106,98,98gauge04=RXPFLT!KI525, 110,106,98,98gauge05=RXPFLT!VerticalSpeed, 215,106,98,98

Do not use "430_2" if you do not have the Unlimited pack installed!

Hey Bert. I used your cfg mod for the 530 and STEC. My question is, if I bought the 530 WAAS (not unlimited) does it come with the STEC? If not what do I have to do to get the stec? Thanks!

The STEC is actually part of the RXP FLN package...You can use any of several BK autopilots if you have a favorite.I use the RealAir FS9 BK autopilot with the the 530W.

They couldn't do that even if they wanted to. There's no magic wand to transform a 2d gauge to 3d... :(

That is true Bill. It would take writing a new model to include new 2d gauges. This is why I would rater have an airplane with 2d gauges. Then I have the flexability to retrofit it with my liking. Lets say an airplane has no AP and comes with just a Gyro. If they are 3D gauges well then I'll be flying manually at all times. Now I could add popups but that 's not as nice as having the HSI in the panel. I know there are many that like the 3D gauges and I can respect that. The only one I have that I can read the gauges with out an eye strain is the Milviz 310. Other than that they all look like they have some kind of anti Aliasing thing about them. Maybe developers like 3d gauges to keep people from using their gauges in other aircraft, I don't know. I know that the F1Pilatus will not allow you to use their MFD in any other aircraft except the Pilatus due to CP. Maybe it's easier and less time consuming to develope gauges in XML. I'm not a gauge developer so just speculating. flya150

The ultimate in flexibility of course is the 2D panel FS9 stylee. Originally the main reason for 3D gauges in GA pits was to get smooth gauges in the VC. So now you guys have FSX only, VC only with 3D gauges....enjoy. :(

This is the 530 with the STEC, looks better
Hi Bert,Do you know how I can get rid of the black box below the STEC, it doesn't appear to be there on you mod? Thanks - Martin

gauge00=rxpGNS!GNS530, 2,162,318,229gauge01=rxpFLN!ST55X, 2,394,318,80...gauge08=rxpGNS!plate, 2,476,318,30 If you do not have a recent version of the 530W, the "plate" gauge may not be installedon your system.. in that case, update the GNS530W to the latest version (no cost).
