January 15, 201115 yr What, a long tube with wings and two 737 sized engines? ;) I think of all the FS addon developers, I'm sure PMDG will get it spot on. Gavin Price
January 15, 201115 yr I have found the NGX hard to wait for,,It's going to be ridiculously hard to wait for the 777 :(You are 100% right. The NGX is hard to wait, but we have some already done for FSX, but the 777 will be something completely new for FSX. I know that Wilco has one, POSky has theirs too, but these two are not as good as we, PMDG customers, are used to. Matheus Mafra
January 15, 201115 yr I wouldnt worry too much about them getting the 3d model right. Its generally a very straight forward and easy thing to do if you have done the required advance work. Programming systems and logic on the other hand is what is the most difficult part. Its easy to get stuck when doing such work, and you can easily be stuck for months trying to figure out one particular aspect, especially if you have a very small devloper team
January 16, 201115 yr '737 sized engines'err dude I think they're a teeny weeny bit bigger than 737 engines. J Thomas YBBN
January 16, 201115 yr '737 sized engines'err dude I think they're a teeny weeny bit bigger than 737 engines.Exactly: 737NG's CFM53-7B20 has 61" fan and 777's GE90-94B has 123" fan
January 16, 201115 yr The 777 has the most powerful engines in a commercial jet liner.115,000 HP each!! rated at 115,540 lbf(513.2 kN) intake cowling is 325 cm in diameter That is big.
January 16, 201115 yr He means that the diameter of the engines are similar to the diameter of the 737. Cheers, Nick Jones
January 16, 201115 yr PMDG trip 7 with accusim......any thoughts?I think it would be awesome!!! January 16, 201115 yr He means that the diameter of the engines are similar to the diameter of the 737. Cheers, Nick JonesAccording to Boeing, the internal cabin diameter of the newer 737 models is 11 ft 7 in (3.53 m). The Rolls Royce Trent 800 series turbofan engines used on the Boeing 777 have a maximum diameter of 9 ft 2 in (2.8 m). Pratt & Whitney states that the fan diameter of its PW4000 series used on the 777 is slightly larger at 9 ft 4 in (2.85 m). The 737 fuselage is therefore about 2 ft 3 in, or 25%, larger than the 777 engine diameter. The new General Electric GE-90-115B turbofans, the largest and most powerful turbofan built to date that are used on the 777-200LR and 777-300ER models have a diameter of 11 ft 3 in (3.43 m). In this case, the 737 cabin is a mere 3% wider than the 777 engine Matheus Mafra
January 16, 201115 yr Thank you nick for clearing up what I meant about 737 sized engines Gavin Price
January 23, 201115 yr The PSS T7 had potential but was never fine tuned. I'm sure PMDG will make the best T7 on the market. Can't wait! Joe Colao
January 23, 201115 yr Hopefully they'll create the 300ER and 200LR!! I need these planes for my long haul routes!!! PMDGs 777 will surely be a magnificent peace of software. Dylan Leonard
