Apologies in advance,,i will be one of those "trolls",,i wonder if pmdg will model the wings on the 777
:LMAO:Well, to return on topic, may I suggest, apart from the locking thing, a wiki post, gathering FAQs from forum visitors, and all we know from PMDG until now ? One of us would create a topic, and edit it each time we need to update the list ? This would save time of moderators and nerves of still readers (even if know that trolls will still be trolls )...

Maybe there is a way to get a bit on topic again. Got a more or less technical or painting question, which might sound a bit strange to other users :( . What special options do we have regarding repaints? How can we 'close' the cabin windows, is that done through the alpha layer of the texture? A certain Airbus developer team did it this way. Or isn't this possible at all? I doubt this is done via an option in the FMC.
This is not possible interactively from within the sim. However, it is set up so that painters can adjust individual windows quite easily by adjusting the alpha layer of a particular shade.
What registration options are offered? I have already seen the one above the cockpit windows. Can this be achieved the same way as you guys did it with the MD-11. Did you guys add something new?
You've seen the cockpit windows, but there are also different antenna configurations, and different beacon placements. These are controlled through aircraft.cfg entries for each livery. Also, of course, there is a winglet option, but we consider this an entirely different aircraft, with its own unique flight characteristics.
How is the belly textured? Or to be more clear - is text on the belly done via another layer and alpha - like the registration? Or is it a totally new texture and similar to the fuselage textures?
This is the first round of airplanes in which we've textured the airplane to have individual bitmap areas for the belly, and also the top of the aircraft. This will make painting complex liveries a lot easier, without the stretching that has been so common in the past.
I hope that questions goes fine with the PMDG team. The external looks so amazingly good that I am curious to know how a few things are achieved respectuively are offered?
I think you'll be happy with the relative ease with which you can customize your airplane. External customization as well as cockpit customization. Most of the latter is controlled through the FMC, so you will be able to customize your cockpit on the fly, as you fly.

Hi Vin,just a question: what do you mean with "different beacon placements"?Are you referring to the red anti-collision beacons and/or the strobes?I always tought that those lights were on the same position for every individual airframe?Regards,Wijnand Lindelauf (EHBK)(Edited for typo)

The red anti-collision beacons on the fuselage. They are in different positions depending on the antenna configuration.

Hi guys,Yes, it's me again. Still beating the subject of DAC vs SAC. I found this photo a friend of mine took doing decent. This aircraft is equiped with one of each. I know the engine fittet to the A320 is the -5B rather than the -7B on the 737ng, but this is just to show there is a difference. Do I dare ask if someone from the PMDG can answer my other two questions from the first post? These are of more importance that the above "issue".Thanks,Martin Dahlerup

My rig contains a random selection of computer parts working in perfect harmony....

I hold a EASA fATPL + A320 SIC rating and a FAA CPL with CFI rating.

PMDG, a question:- Are we able to install the 737NGX on different computers at one home/same IP?I mean, when the 737NGX has been released I will install it on my current computer ofcourse but after a few months I will upgrade my computer (yes with a new mobo) and I want to install there the 737NGX aswell. But I'm allowed to do that or I need to buy a 2nd copy or what? :S

Correct me if im wrong but the past eulas have stipulated that as long as there is only one copy on one computer at any given time, then its ok.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

That means I'd better can wait to install the 737NGX if I'm getting a new pc?

He means is that you can't have the same copy of the product and the same key installed in two different computers at the same time. You can install the NGX in you current PC and when you get the new one you'll have to unistall it from the old one to free your license key for another installation before installing it in the new one, otherwise the license key you'll have will already be in use and won't allow you to register the NGX copy in the new PC.

Not at all. Buy it when it comes out. Then when you buy your new pc, uninstall the NGX from your old system and reinstall it on your new one. Remember...you cant have the ngx on two systems at the same time...only one. This is all based off of previous EULAs though.
