Hi Guys,Have you guys noticed how Robert and Ryan has become "flight sim celebrities" I just have a few questions. Since you strive for the extream realism1) Will you incorporate all the engine variants for the varius models? ie. one 737NG model can have 3-4 different engines. can you also do double-annular combuster? see here for reference: http://en.wikipedia....#CFM56-7_series2) Which FMC update have you inclouded? 10.8A I presume. Although I wouldn't be suprised if you got hold of the update 11Thanks,Martin Dahlerup
I should have been used to reading Hey-I-google'd-something posts all over flightsim forums after 10+years but this one blew me away.(1) Please explain to me what is a double annular combustor as opposed to what you thought we might have modeled which is of type ...... (please fill in the blanks)(2) What is the difference between thermal and prompt NOx ?(3) Are you also a firm believer of the view that local PAH peaks comprise a definite precursor to soot formation ?Finally : How on God's earth does this impact on your sense of realism ?Take your time. You might find several papers on the net (even stumble upon one I co-authored) provided you can read them. If the answers are satisfactory I promise I'll add a kinetics package at the end of the EEC code showing real time animations of major species and radicals at the tail pipe as you bleep the throttle. With scientific regards,E M V

Did you actually read about what this is at CFM's site? It's purely an emissions reduction system that reduces the amount of NOx (oxides of nitrogen) in the engine's exhaust. There's no instrumentation difference and no visual difference on the engine - NOx is a colorless gas as well. There's nothing to "do" here...
Hi Ryan,I am well aware of what it is and I beg to differ about the difference. At least on the A320 the difference in EGT can be upto 100C depending on altitude and engine N1. Veirdly enough I have only found SAS who have used DAC on the 737ng and they have had problems with it. On the A320 it is becoming increasingly popular. now about the other things I mentioned?Martin Dahlerup

Hi E M V,First of all think about the fact that you are representing PMDG and please don't be so judgemental about people in here. Some of us are professional airline pilots. Now english is not my first language so please excuse any mistakes. Now, if you don't think that knowing which type of engines sites under your wing or which FMC update you are flying with then I am glad I am not flying with you. The engines are particular important in the performance sense. You do not want to base your take off performance on the wrong engines.I would really like that graph as I "bleep the throttle", but can you make it in a seperate window......that would be great. Thanks,Martin Dahlerup

Hey Martin,Just thought I would point out that EMV is pretty much a genius when it comes to complex codeing and translating real world performance data to FS. It was his talent's alone that initialy drew me to PMDG.I understand your a pilot however trust me when I say he knows his stuff far deeper then a ATPL holder will ever need to.

Please guys, enough of the back and forth about flight lessons...The real life NG absolutely does NOT have a RAT btw.
why you hatin' on flight lessons? Hahahahah jkjkjkjk

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

can you also do double-annular combuster?...Now, if you don't think that knowing which type of engines sites under your wing or which FMC update you are flying with then I am glad I am not flying with you. And what exactly any of the above has to do with the "annular combustor"??You may be a pilot but do you know that we are talking here about software and not titanium forgings?.If PMDG wants to add engine XYZ to this product all they have to do is get suitable performance data for this engine and not worry about intricate details of combustion chambers and metal fittings. :(

Well before we go and 'kiss @$$', let's review exactly what happened.A technical question was asked by a supposed industry professional. A question no dumber than the others I've seen earlier. It was retorted with a snide and RUDE answer by someone representing PMDG. I'd say I see a reason why Mr "EMV" isn't in support...Martin backed his question up with legitimate reasoning. Let's grow up here (not you per se, Rob). This thread is really going downhill...
