Well Im thinking since its going to be until 2017 why don't we all stop wasting our time here and just go to flight school and by the time this product gets released we might as well be in real 737's. :Silly:Cheers.Zach Ak

EditBrowsing the web for something else I came along those as well. They are a great reference of how the real HUGS looks like, although they were 'only' taken inside a sim, but oh well the sys is the same, so go ahead and enjoy. Hope the devs will adjust their font a little bit to resemble the real thing even more before release. Then again we've only seen WIP shots so far, so I'll be patient. Oh and take note of the CDU options in #1 and #3, looks interesting. Pic 1, Pic 2, Pic 3, Pic 4. Happy landing. Big%20Grin.gifEdit 2Alright, don't want to start a new post but I keep finding interesting stuff. At least that's what I think haha. :( Earlier in this thread the update to the 57/67 flight decks has been mentioned. I just came across these interesting shots showing them off in quite good quality. Wow, I wonder why the EGPWS elevation figures are so fuzzy. Think it's the same on the 37, but I have no idea why. :( One, Two, Three. Enjoy! :(

arrogance be it in joke form or serious thing does not suit this forum in my opinion,Some people would love to be pilots, but cant on the terms of wealth, health and/or situation, remember some are not as privialaged as you are, so i suggest coming down from your high horse..cha

I can only hope that there is some sort of flaps sound when you are at the wing-view!~Mitch Bowman

It's PNW - we certainly would not be opposed to ORBX doing it though - a "Boeing Airports" pack of RNT, BFI and PAE would be awesome I think personally. Here's a bit of a better shot that shows off the airport scenery:NGX_External_Preview_012.jpgOh, and there's some nice wing details visible there too... tongue.gif

The technology simply wasn't available at the time. Now, most if not all 737NGs delivered have the carbon braking system. Carbon brakes are also about 500lbs lighter than steel brakes which helps with fuel efficiency awell. ~Mitch Bowman

If the steel brakes loses effectiveness when overheated, but the carbon doesn't, what is the advantage with the steel?

Already answered this, it is not possible to do. You get two possible soundsets in FSX - VC/cockpit and exterior, that's it. You can't have a separate wingview soundset.

You could always press " [ " to open a new window and make sure that said window is set to cockpit mode. Then simply make the window tiny and scoot it off to the side. This way you have a window view with cockpit (as close to cabin as it gets) sounds.

I'm not saying completely get rid of the exterior sounds - no way! I am wondering if there would be some easy way (perhaps even in a config file) to make this possible? Even though the viewpoint is technically an external one, as for the user experience, wing views are rarely enjoyed with earmuffs on :(. Thanks to PMDG for answering all our questions! Above and beyond guys!Troy

+1That's what I do. I actually put it on my second monitor, really tiny.

I saw your answer to this after I posted... sorry (i don't know how to delete posts). Also, to anyone who wants interior sounds while on wing view just press " [ " to open a new window and make sure it's in cockpit view, then just make it tiny and stick it to the side.

Is the 747-400X considered to be the most taxing on frame rates (of PMDG products), and the MD-11 considered to be the second most taxing? It's been said on earlier posts that the 737NGX will get better fps than the md-11, which of course is good news. I have the 747-400X and I'm content (not happy) with my fps, so hopefully the NGX will be a pleasant fps surprise! Is this generaly good logic to follow? If your happy with -400X fps, then you should be pleased NGX fps? Thanks,~Mitch Bowman

Hi Mitch,The development of the NGX is not yet complete and therefore it is not yet possible to say anything about the final results. What can be said though is that PMDG are always groundbreaking in their development methods and they are doing what they can (they built the NGX from scratch, not based on older work) to maximize performance. It has been said that during development, so with not all features included, that the NGX was performing really well. In fact, there was a screen shot of the VC at some point showing around 90FPS! But again, this shot was taken in a far from complete aircraft. We are going to have to wait and see what happens on our individual systems when she comes out.
