Externalities and the NGX

The only thing I could think of that might look like a G meter, kinda, would be an AoA gauge. But yes, the values are certainly of different meaning. :(
Thanks for the input, but I'm not thinking of the aoa gauge either. I am very familiar with the aoa indicator. I think I probably just got confused for a second. :(

What do they do to 57/67s? Any known pictures floating around? Would be curious as hell.
This is taken from the QW757: http://www.foroavion...ings-757-a.html you'll notice the different ND's and PFD's same's done to the 767

Here'a a link describing the Southwest PFD/ND conversion: http://atwonline.com/airports-routes/news/southwest-starts-using-rnp-procedures-11-airports-0111This makes me wonder if there are any U.S. carriers left that use the old style 'standard six' instruments on the NG. I know outside the U.S. GOL has them, any others perhaps?
I think GOL doesn't use that style anymore.

cockpit-sim-pilot-copilot-hr.jpg?tag=content;col1That's the GE demonstrator for the Southwest retrofit. I 'flew' this at Farnborough this year - very impressive! Note the middle screen - the guys at Farnborough said Southwest would be taking the three-screen layout. A lot of weight saved by replacing all those steam gauges!
Who builds them, Collins? [757/767 retrofit]
These guys:http://www.innovative-ss.com/I also chatted with a guy from their company at farnborough - just the kind of experienced, knowledgeable and professional person I hope to become in aviation!

I guess you're right; I checked a couple of current United flight deck pictures online, and they do show the older layout. Flying with various configurations will add a lot of fun to the NGX. :(

Going from memory here, I'm pretty sure the figures refer to the maximum and minimum terrain elevations contained within the ND range at any one time. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!e.g. 082 = 8,200ft
Correct.

I absolutely cannot wait for the beta testers to be able to post videos and screenshots. It'll be like endless updates all the way 'till release!
