Thanks for the honesty of your reply Ryan,I thought running the NGX with UT2, FTX scenery and airports, and REX would be pushing it. So, I probably will wait until I get a new system before purchasing any PMDG aircraft (looks like I'm stuck with those awful default planes for now). I agree that a desktop would be best but here's my situation: I'm about to graduate college and for the next couple of years I will probably be more mobile than not, therefore a laptop would best fit my lifestyle during these years. Believe me I would love a custom built desktop, but its looking to be not viable at the moment. I might get a higher-grade gaming laptop this next Christmas possibly, and the top ones that I've seen online have i7's with maybe tops of 2.3 Ghz or a little more, but then they say with Turboboost up to 3.3 Ghz or so. What does that mean? Does it mean that my system will normally be running at 2.3 Ghz but when I run a demanding application like FSX with high-end addons my system will go to 3.3 Ghz? Does anyone have suggestions for the contenders of best gaming laptops for FSX with high-end addons?Joel
Joel,Try to get one that has the newer Sandy Bridge i7 - that'll help a lot at stock speeds vs. the older ones. The turbo boost on them is a lot more aggressive. Turbo boost basically dynamically overclocks the cores that are being used. You can still get higher overclocks manually, but it is a neat system they've developed and works well.

I hope so but the PMDG747 have no option for range rings so I´m not sure ;-)Thanks,Holger
Seriously guys, the "concerns" over minor little things you think we're going to forget are a bit much... This is already an option in the FMC options page...

Well as long as the grip tape on the floor at the entrance is modeled, and the coffee maker works I'm in!! :( Though you can't please everyone, I'm sure this is going to be the best thing to hit FSX as far as tubbers go. I've seen enough to be sold on her long time ago. :(

We intended to post the night shots last weekend but we decided it wasn't ready yet - patience please. What I said a while back still applies - we're only going to show stuff when WE feel it is ready to be shown. Nothing else is influencing our decisions.
No problemen Ryan. Didn't realize the night lighting isn't ready yet. Looking forward to it!Your NGX and the LDS757 will be the highlights of my FS year. If they're released this year........Question on the side; see my sig for current system setup. Do you think I would benefit from an upgrade to an i7 2600k overclocked to the 4-4,5GHz range?

Cool, I guess it will say "Sandy Bridge i7" if it has it? I have yet to see those, I have been looking at Asus, HP, and Alienware laptops.

Hi Ryan as you can see i dont post much here on the PMDG forum, because some always ask about the same things and i know that at the end you'll deliver us a Masterpiece as usual. So first of all I'd like to say that i own all of your aircrafts and i can not help putting my hands on your NGX. Here are my questions:As you are trying to put the bird into beta phase are you, at the same time working on the the dash 8 and the 777?If so Will it take a long time for you to release them after the 737 (at least for the dash 8)?Let me say this: You hate talking about release date (i do too coz i'd like to have an incredible software in my hands: whatever the time it takes. As you say its ready when its ready) and how long it'll take to produce this and that , i can understand it that's why im not asking for something precise but an estimation. It'll help me to think about what will my next sceneries and aircraft be. Thank you very muchKaman BA

Good morningAbout Sandybridge there is still a task for Intel to fixe the chipset.http://www.intel.com/consumer/products/processors/chipset.htm?iid=en_US_01_chipset+gg_headlineBest regardsMarcel AmbordLSZB
