I loved the "cocane mountains" north of Los Angeles in FS9.

I wish I lived somewhere where there was no snow.. ever. Here in Edmonton the snow pile in front of my house is about 15 feet high from the plows in the middle of the street. About 4 feet in my back yard at the moment, more in the forecast too. its warm today though, +1... t-shirt weather for us. the norm for this time of year is about -20 to -25C, the coldest day so far this winter was -57C . A wee bit off the general topic, but I spotted planes last year in the a parking lot just off of Bravo and 02/20 ... They had a huge snowpile near a fence so I sat on top and had a good view over the fence, lol. Cold bum though.

I think you'd like the weather here in Rio. No possibility of snow at all. In the last 3 days the temperature hit the 40+ºC. Rio by now is in the first place in the hottest cities rank of South America these days. Today is a bit colder. This morning for the first time in weeks we had a cloudy day and a good bunch of rain.

Hmmmm, sounds nice. Copenhagen, this time of year, is cold, grey and windy, just the weather for flight simming :-)

I'm not saying I like this weather at all. I live near the beach, but I hate beach. I hate hot days. Actually, I wish I could live in somewhere colder, with temperatures staying around 15 to 20ºC on summer and some sunny cold days on winter with some snow. I think there's nothing more beautiful than waking up in the morning, look to the sky and see nothing but a shinny sun, then you look down and see a thin cap of snow on the grass and the trees.

Imagine to have to wake up at 6:00 AM, go to the station and wait for a train at -10°C...with snow, wondering if a train will never arrive...It's not very nice, trust me...Big%20Grin.gifCheers,

You are supposed to glide down at a speed to maintain ~11% N2 on the NG. The starters are placed in flight mode, and the APU is started when it is determined that a start can be accomplished. (Only 1-2 attempts on batt power). After that, you simply follow the NNCs for loss of thrust on both engines, Engine Failure and shutdown, as well as engine inflight start, all while completing the driftdown.
Where did you get that Cr@p from???

At least you can use some layers of clothes to heat you up. Imagine to have to wake up at 5:30AM and wait for a bus at 30°C (the nights here have been really hot!)... with the sun boiling your face.Imagine it's midday, you're sitting on your couch watching TV under the shaddow of your roof and be grilled alive just like a turkey in the oven. It's not very nice, trust me...Big%20Grin.gif.

Okay, this went too much off-topic. But since we're talking about weather, what's your favorite simming weather?

Nice.. I know exactly where you were sitting, I park there every night lol.. I work for Cargojet, you probly saw our 727 parked just to your right. its sure cold out there at 4am when that old beast pulls in, wind blowing from the west and of course it parks facing south so when were unloading the bellys it blows right in the doors, at least we get to ride jumpseat as much as we want so it has its perks.. Did you see the massive Antinov last year? that was impressive, it took them 6 and a half hours to fuel it, I felt bad for all the people sitting in our parking lot waiting for it to take off because they had no idea it was still going to take 3 more hours to finish fueling. I got to work, jumped in the truck and drove right up to it as they were loading helicopters into it. that thing is HUGE.sorry for the off topic posts..As for weather I like to fly in, I don't really have a favorite. I get home from work around 7:30am and after being at the airport all night watching planes take off and land I usually go for a quick hop from CYEC to CYYC or CYVR using real-world weather and for the last couple months its usually been snow and/or fog (here anyway). I cant wait for the NGX as most of the planes coming and going are westjets 600's and 700's sometimes an 800 which makes me want to fly it even more.Corey Prefontaine
