You can download the manual from their website. It gives a few more specifics about how exactly it implements weapons. It's only 15 Euros, so I imagine we will see some reviews up here later tonight.

It looks like a nice addition ot FSX. Honestly though, it also looks very redundant to the VRS TacPack set to be releasing in the next few months. However, the VRS version (based on preview videos) looks to be much nicer graphically and is likely to be better in terms of systems fidelity. As reasonable a price as 14.99 Euros is, I'll be waiting for the VRS version.

I purchased it today and I have to say it does work as advertised. It does not have bombs yet but the gun, rockets and missiles work fine. I have not done too much with it yet but it has promise. I am waiting for TacPack too but I will play with Weapon in the meantime. Being a Falcon 4 fan from way back, I can imagine FSX having bandits come after me and poles shooting up from the ground in the form of SAMs. I just hope CS continues development and adds bombs and AI shooting back soon.

What happens to the AI when you shoot them down? They just disappear or do they blow up?

I am extremely disappointed. There is enough violence in the world, why bring it to FSX? With all the choices out there for combat sims is it really necessary to arm flight simulator?

If it sells....

I only have two mini-sorties under my belt, but from what I saw, the planes just disappear - no parts raining down, no parachutes, just a puff of black smoke where the missile trail ends. The buildings still stand after a rocket attack (or else I didn't spend enough ordinance on them) but the planes are effectively "neutralized." The only thing is... they don't shoot back. Nor to they budge from their set course before I go for the kill. I'm used to working for my kills, and my hope is that more realism will come along in the near future (whether Weapon or TacPack). Meanwhile it's Falcon 4 when I want to battle. I support it's development and will be watching for updates to this version 1.0. I have to remember that CS never promised to turn FSX into the great war sim it could be, they only promised to give me weapons. And that they did.

After 2 hours prep time and another 3 hours in flight, Puff! you just got sunk by a rogue F-18 on Vatsim. Now give me your loot.

I was intrigued by this as well. I was wondering if it would work on my new Alphasim A-10 I picked up for Christmas.

If it does not have Air to Ground it is pretty much useless for the A-10. I will be waiting for VRS TacPac. Like the Superbug I am sure it will be amazing.

The AI aircraft supplied with the product will show various damage effects.Regular AI aircraft will not show damage, except for basic stuff like smoke. They don't just disappear, unless you hit them hard enough that they explode. If you just damage them badly enough, they will stream smoke and then crash into the ground, leaving a smoking hole in the ground.

Shaka is correct. The planes I was shooting at were not the AI included with the package. I was shooting at anything I could. I apologize for the misinformation.I'm not a FSX programmer so I don't know if it is reasonable to expect that eventually ALL AI will behave in such a manner, of if they will have the smarts to evade and even shoot back at me.

Well, I've got the Weapon... one snap installed it on my A-10. Man, for the 14.99 it worth every penny! As for your questions:Targets do not just dissappear, they do show gradual damage effects. Yes the pack does include air-to-ground missiles. One downside though, it seems to be addictive :)

Stan

Does it change the HUD inside the A-10 with their own hud?
