how many aircraft do you have in fsx
More than I have time to focus on.Without listing all the company names and the aircraft type, I have 10 pay-ware planes and about 8 free-ware ones.I'm looking to add a pay-ware DHC-Q300, and Q400 in the future. Then a 737NGX. The cheerry on top will be the PMDG 777 someday.

Only about 18 for me which includes a couple payware ones that were released as freeware like the FSInsider Cessna 152 and a few others like that.Even with 18 or so a/c, I tend only only fly about 4 or 5 on a regular basis, mainly the PMDG birds and the LDS767. I will probably only be adding the PMDG 737 once it comes out and will pretty much done buying a/c. Although I will probably buy the PMDG Dash-8 when it come outs as well as the LDS 757, but both of those a/c probably wont arrive anytime soon.Since I like to mainly fly airliners in FSX, I tend to spend most of my money populating FSX with scenery packages and nice airports.

Everything Carenado makes except the C208 truck. +, in no particular order MilViz 310, DA Cheyenne, Islander, A2A Cub, both Sibwings offerings, Turbine Duke, Lancair(should have asked for my money back) Aerosoft Beaver Just Flight DC3, L-39, Realair Scout etc. Virtavia Turbo Mentor and last but not least the A2A P47 Razorback.I was talking about this last night, about having all those a/c and rarely getting to fly any of them with an acceptable level of expertise. Thank God it's a game, or I surely would have died a thousand times! :(

Too many that I don't use, like the Wilco airbus and CS 757.Only ones I really fly are the LVLD 767, PMDG 747, and the JS41.I've learned now that if it isn't LVLD or PMDG, I'm not touching it.

A bit narrow-minded, or? This planes are all top notch, but to say if it isn´t LVD or PMDG you won´t touch it is a bit narrow-minded. There are much more planes out there wihich are at the same level. The above mentioned Turbine Duke and the piston Duke are only two to mention. Carenado makes also very good and frame rate friendly planes.Oh, I forgot my planes: Wilco Airbus series volume 1 & 2 (No crapy Evolution update)Captain Sim 757 PRO EdditionRealAir Beech Duke B60RealAir Beech Turbine DukeCarenado C206Aerosoft Beaver XIRIS F-16DIRIS A-10SkyUnlimited GO229 Flying WingRazbam A-6 IntruderRazbam EA-6 ProwlerRazbam F-102 Delta DaggerRazbam F2H BansheeAND a plenty of freeware planes ftom Tim ConradFlown regularly: Both Dukes, the Beaver, C206 and both IRIS planes. Carenado doesn't hold a candle to Level-D or PMDG. Not even close. You can't compare commercial aircraft to GA like the Duke. IMHO Realair isn't the same fidelity as PMDG either. The only company that is on the same level is A2A with their Accusim addons. The new Katana X may be joining that club too, but we'll see.Not narrow-minded, just the truth. Carenado and RealAir planes don't cost 80 dollars each either, for what it's worth. We are incredibly lucky to have such great addons at all price points.I've got probably as many aircraft as everyone else here so far combined. When does a hobby become an addiction anyways?

Nice list, Shane! I´ll get some out of it after my update is finished. Esspecially the JS41 is planned (IF the NGX does not come in the meantime, cause then I´ll be away.).

Not when it comes to airliners for FSX, I dont think it's narrow minded at all. Besides the Leonardo Mad Dog package, I don't think any other developers come close to the accuracy or fidelity of the LDS or PMDG birds. Sure there are some nice airliners with nice visual models like the Capt Sim and CLS stuff, but I don't feel they are anywhere near the same level. Although in all fairness, CLS never claims to be that type of a sim aircraft like PMDG or LDS are.

I'm leery of blanket statements like these, especially when one is comparing apples and oranges. How can one hold up GA and airliners against one another? And believe me, I love my PMDG MD-11 and J4100 as much as the next friend here.IMHO, RealAir makes the best GA aircraft out there and the Duke in all of her forms will withstand any comparison against another GA plane.

I have way too much because I suffer from have-to-have-it-itis. This disease has been emptying my bank account for the last 3 years. Unfortunately, the result is the same as most others in that many of these get little use these days (even the ones that are rather good). It seems there is always a few birds that you get hooked on. Incidentally, I only inlcluded the iFly 737 from my FS9 collection since I got tire of typing.Cheers, PeteLevel-D 767 PMDG MD-11-XPMDG 747-400XPMDG Jetstream 4100Digital Aviation Fokker 100/70Coolsky Super 80 ClassicCoolsky Super 80 ProSky Simulations DC-9Just Flight Constellation ProfessionalWilco 737 Just Flight Airbus A320 / A318CLS MD-80Just Flight Flying Club Archer IIIJust Flight DC-3 Flight 1 ATR 72-500Wilco E-Jets Wilco CRJ Volume 1Wilco Airbus Volume 2Flightsimlabs Concorde Feelthere ERJ Volume 1 and 2A2A StratocruiserCLS 767 -200/300 Wilco Airbus Series Volume 1CLS Airbus Collection Long HaulCLS Airbus A340 500/600Just Flight Airbus Collection Captain Sim C-130 HerculesCLS DC-10 CollectionCLS 747 200/300 Just Flight Flying Club XQuality Wings 757Simcheck A300Captain Sim 757 Captain Sim 727-100 / 200Captain Sim 767- 200 / 300 Wilco Boeing 777IFly 737NG (FS9)Lionheart Creations Quest Kodiak

Pete: thanks, because you've made me realize that there's somebody out there who has this disease even worse than I do!:(

Maybe so, but nobody has made a regular (excluding A2A Cub) GA aircraft to PMDG or A2A Accusim standards. There's just something special about the Accusim aircraft that make them feel alive. The A2A Spitfire is easily the most immersive aircraft for FSX.The Katana X will likely be the first to match it in the GA world.

Well, you might be right. I do not own or fly much airliners in FSX due to my rig.Maybe I misunderstood the first post I had been qouting. I had never the intension to compare the PMDG planes with RealAir´s Dukes. I know that they aren´t in the same league. I meant that what PMDG is to the airliners section, RealAir is to GA.You emphasized the Level-D 767 a lot. What is soo good on this plane? I have the FS9 version and I don´t like it that much I like my 747. The VC is just outdated and the avionic displays are not that fine. But for the system simulation it´s top notch. That´s just FS9, maybe the FSX version has better grafics.
