April 8, 201115 yr Pete: thanks, because you've made me realize that there's somebody out there who has this disease even worse than I do!:(I am glad I could help! Unfortunately I have come to realize that this obsession may render me as some form of an idiot. The good news is that since I am a CPA and I get to work 75 hours a week for 3 months out of the year, my wife lets me have my toys. Come April 15th I am hoping to go at least a mini spending spree. I think some more airport addons are in order and then maybe one of these 737NG's from the first available supplier.Cheers, Pete Pete Solov - Lake in the Hills 3CK and Schaumburg Regional 06CProud AOPA Member - PPL 2001Real World Piper Cherokee Pilot
April 8, 201115 yr Maybe so, but nobody has made a regular (excluding A2A Cub) GA aircraft to PMDG or A2A Accusim standards. There's just something special about the Accusim aircraft that make them feel alive. The A2A Spitfire is easily the most immersive aircraft for FSX.The Katana X will likely be the first to match it in the GA world.I do love my accusimmed A2A B-17, P-47, Piper Cub and Spitfire also! April 8, 201115 yr Nice list, Shane! I´ll get some out of it after my update is finished. Esspecially the JS41 is planned (IF the NGX does not come in the meantime, cause then I´ll be away.).I forgot the Simcheck Airbus A300 and Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0 on that list as well. Shane Gavin
April 8, 201115 yr I forgot the Simcheck Airbus A300 and Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0 on that list as well.:( Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
April 8, 201115 yr Moderator You emphasized the Level-D 767 a lot. What is soo good on this plane? I have the FS9 version and I don´t like it that much I like my 747. The VC is just outdated and the avionic displays are not that fine. But for the system simulation it´s top notch. That´s just FS9, maybe the FSX version has better grafics. What do I like about it?1. Great FPS2. System simulated pretty well3. Great plane to hand fly4. Great FPSYes, the VC graphics are a tad dated, however with the Winglet update that included André Folkers/Fockers updated VC textures, it kind of brought new life to the VC. I had never installed the VC update prior to the winglet update, even though it had been available for quite some time.I don't have FS9 installed anymore so I cant compare the FS9 version to the FSX version, but overall its a great plane that I wouldn't replace for any other 767, unless of course if PMDG did one, but we know thats not going to happen.I don't think the VC of the LDS 767 is much better or worse than the VC of the PMDG 747, they seem pretty similar on my rig. April 9, 201115 yr I like the Level-D 767 because it works. Every single time. I never run into any bugs with the FMC or autopilot (Minus the FSX-A issues... :(). The flight dynamics are absolutely incredible, still among the best even after all these years. The VC's gauges are more than clear enough for me. Sure the overhead and pedestal could be a bit higher resolution, but they still work. The soundset isn't all that great either. However there are PLENTY of great freeware and payware sounds for her. I got some a while back that make it sound EXACTLY like the American Airlines 767 I flew on several years ago.+1 on the great FPS.I like it because it is a much higher fidelity addon than Captain Sim could dream to build. Sure it isn't as pretty as the CS models, but at least it works, and at a much better frame rate than what the CS 757 gives me.I've been thinking about getting the simcheck A300 while I wait for the NGX... Should I? :( Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!

Should I? :(The Simcheck is pretty good, especially with the updated 3D engineer's panel. It has a simplified INS for navigation, but you can swap it for the CIVA if you want to have alignment procedures/time and dme updating procedures. They are also working on an FMC update for it. The default sounds are very good (Turbine Sound Studios does them) and the flight dynamics feel very realistic. The documentation is a little light, and there is no fuel planner or flex temp calculator, but hopefully it will get TOPCAT support which will take care of these needs. With TOPCAT support and the FMS upgrade (if preferred), the Simcheck Airbus would be up their with the best. For now, I consider it on a level just below PMDG in total realism. Shane Gavin

Is there any time frame for the FMS upgrade?Fedex operates an A300 or occasionally an A310 out of my airport so I'm interested in checking this addon out. Tired of Streetlights everywhere? My guess is June or July, but I have nothing to back that up with. Shane Gavin

April 9, 201115 yr The Simcheck is a 300 B4, Fedex only uses a 300-600Maybe so, but with a Fedex paint I'd consider it "close enough". Sometimes we have to be happy with what variants we have... :( Tired of Streetlights everywhere? Try MSFS DarkStreets today!
