May 17, 201115 yr I heard from a couple pilots in my VA who purchased it that it's disappointing.Nothing like PMDG's quality.Too bad for you! AJ Pongress
May 17, 201115 yr I have plenty of time to wait for the ngx and I will. Well not to say you can`t buy the ifly ngx, which btw seems like a nice product but Im still for the NGX Joe Barton

May 17, 201115 yr Commercial Member Gents-A user with almost no posting history walks into a forum and says....Oh.... wait... you've heard that one already. :( All of us at PMDG are voracious consumers of add-ons, and we have a long standing policy of offering compliments on products that we really like, while not offering criticism of the work produced by other developers unless absolutely necessary. While we certainly have our own shortcomings, we feel that PMDG products stand at the top of the product quality pyramid due in part to the amount of effort we put into quality and completeness. This history of placing product quality and completeness ahead of all other considerations has never lead us astray- and it is why so many customers tell us that they have such a high degree of confidence in our work. (thank you!)We have compared Flight1's latest release to our own and found the qualitative, quantitative and performance differences to be striking. You'll be able to do your own comparisons in short order- but in the mean time we'll just continue to tie up the loose ends we are working... May 17, 201115 yr I too have have been a long time supporter of PMDG products(actually i purchase 747 twice) but I have little post history until I have something to say and its in the criteria that you will answer. The post above is ambiguous as you may think the author is having ago but in reality I think he has found a new friend and is sad to leave the old ones. I was thinking of purchasing the iFLY 737 but after consideration its best to stay with the friends you know and trust.
May 18, 201115 yr We have compared Flight1's latest release to our own and found the qualitative, quantitative and performance differences to be striking.Robert,I have bought the product to which you are referring, and one aspect of it that I find disappointing is the frame rate performance. As you are probably aware, there is an issue with the mouse pointer dragging FPS down for some users (including me).I think you mught be alluding to it above, however would it be possible for you to give me a clearer objective comparison of the FPS performance of your NGX and Flight 1's version? Even a "better", "same" or "significantly better" would suffice.I have purchased both your MD11 and JS41 for FSX, and I don't think I could resist purchasing your NGX if the FPS are in between those products (or better yet, better than the MD11).Thanks and regards,Justin J

This was the nicest way to express: I'm tired of waiting. If your intelligence is not allowed you to understand so I think I was more clear now. btw, you already bought the manuals and posters? May 18, 201115 yr As an avid MD-11 fan, I waited patiently having had very PMDG product until then, albeit in FS9 form, and that wait was indeed a very long one. But in the end that wait proved to be worth every cent as the MD-11 swept all the awards. For a respected Flight Sim journal,PC Pilot, to award its its topmost Award as the best sim to date, was indeed an accolade, and a well-deserved one too.I have bought the iFly737NGX,and I will wait for the PMDG version and buy that when it comes out, because like the man who repeatedly buys a Rolls Royce even though faster cars come on the market said,'Once you have Rolls quality, nothing else matters'.
