I can't believe this. I thought it was real haha
Eerrrrrr....will a 737-800 fuelled for EGLL have enough runway at Gibraltar, you'd better look at the performance charts Batting%20Eyelashes.gif or order a A319. If you get it off the ground you will have inches to spare and pax queuing for the loo.:(Big%20Grin.gifAlso, all those saying it'll be out in two weeks - LOL - Don't be the first with tears and tantrums when it doesn't happen. So childish, you are just setting yourselves up for disappointment.:(:Cry:Chris Farrell
Hi Chris,I just looked up in TOPCAT and a 738 can certainly get out of LXGB provided he is below 70500kgs. You'll even have 5meters to spare. the A320 could carry a little more out of there.Kind regards,

Martin Dahlerup

My rig contains a random selection of computer parts working in perfect harmony....

I hold a EASA fATPL + A320 SIC rating and a FAA CPL with CFI rating.

An A320 carrying more than an NG? Why am I doubting that? I wouldnt go by TopCat for that.JackColwill

Hi Jack,I don't have any performance manuals for the 737-800 which is indeed the competitor to the A320. I know TopCat is a flightsim program, but it's giving me 71412kgs all other parameters the same. (ISA weather)

I wonder why a video was announced "in a couple of hours or so" on saturday night, and then... Nothing. I understand the team is pretty busy but a few words to say "sorry guys i can't do it for this and that" does not kill... And is better than leaving a whole bunch of supporters (we are no customers anymore but real fans you guys should cherish :() like starving monkeys which we are not.Now i have waited too long and i decided to uninstall FSX, reinstall FS2000 and use the default brown 737 ... Oh gosh, help me find the landing gear in that bloody 1D cockpit ! B) :( GreNgX
Nameless-(No, your parents didn't name you "GreNgX" so don't even try me. B) )At 2:29p US PDT on Sunday I posted an update in which I explained that my debugging efforts were preventing me from focusing on the video....You must have missed it.Unfortunately it appears that tonight might be more of the same. I'm digging into a problem with the hydraulic PTU that prevents the flaps from coming up while the PTU is active. Not a good thing for those of us who routinely fly around mountains- and we don't want to kill any of our beta testers or attract unwanted attention from the vFAA this close to delivery- so I'm focusing on the PTU. :( As soon as I get some feem time on the my plate I'll put one together for you. I have something very cool to show!

Just out of curiosity.....what's a PTU?

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

See? Robert CARES about his testers.I can imagine it now, a beta NGX flight unable to outclimb the terrain, it's captain screaming: "Currrsee yooouuuu Raaannnndaaaazzzzoooooo!" :( Fix the PTU by all means, Robert.

Power Transfer Unit (http://en.wikipedia....r_transfer_unit - I promise it's not a Rick video)
In aviation, a Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is a device that transfers hydraulic power from one of an aircraft's hydraulic systems to another in the event that second system has failed or been turned off.[1]Modern airliners have separate, independent hydraulic systems powered by engine-driven pumps. The PTU is used when, for example, there is right hydraulic system pressure but no left hydraulic system pressure. The PTU transfers hydraulic power from the right hydraulic system to the left hydraulic system; there is no intermixing of hydraulic fluid between the left and right hydraulic systems during PTU operation. The PTU is able to operate the hydraulic motor generator during all phases of flight. It cycles on whenever an engine is started, and may repeatedly cycle on and off whenever pressure in one system drops below a certain point. While it would engage in the event of a failure, in day-to-day operations it is commonly used during taxiing when one engine is shut down to conserve fuel. The PTU on the Airbus A320 family of aircraft makes a distinctive noise resembling a barking dog, and is quite audible from inside the cabin. Passengers on board A320-family aircraft are therefore very familiar with the sound of the PTU, but few know what it is.
Besides Airbuses, you can also hear that noise on a 737-300 "Guppy." Not sure if the -500's make the sound in the cabin.
