June 5, 201114 yr OK, here's my list in order of actual usage. This reflects which planes that are best to actually fly, and also which FS2Crew works best with, I think: Level D 767: old plane, a little ugle, but very solid. Beautiful FS2Crew implementation. Using this plane 70% of the time, always with FS2Crew. PMDG 747 400/800: best plane, FS2Crew implementation not as good. Using this 20% of the time (always with FS2Crew when I use it) Leonardo Maddog: The best FS2crew implementation, the only reason I fly this plane. Haven't really bonded with it. USing it 5% og the time. J41: The only one I fly using button control FS2CRew. Don't like it as much. Must try the voice version. USing it 5% of the time. Default 737 - don't fly very much Default 747 - don't fly very much Ifly 737 - just got it and still sorting out the technical issues Would be interested in what everyone thinks the most usuable FS2CRew/plane combination ie. which paring gets the most flying time. Obviously, my answer right now is LvlD 767.Also, how many flights do you actually use FS2CRew for? I use it 95%+ of the time when I'm flying jets, which is about half the time (the other half is GA). June 5, 201114 yr I prefer the voice control versions for the extra flexibility. The ones I've used the most are for the iFly 737, JS41, and Leonardo Maddog. All three are very good.I don't fly without FS2Crew if I have it for a plane, but I sometimes skip the preflight events and do the setup myself. June 5, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hi,I'm surprised you'd rank the 767 over the iFly 737 for FS2Crew.The iFly also has the all important SDK available, and if anything FS2Crew for the iFly can do a lot more things than the 767 version, such as external air starts and a whole bunch of other detailed things that probably appeal to about 50 people on the planet :( Cheers, I prefer the voice control versions for the extra flexibility. June 5, 201114 yr Author Hi Bryan,I'm looking forward to giving the iFly/FS2Crew combo a go. I only bought the iFly cos I'd heard the FS2Crew implementation was top notch (same as I bought the Maddog so I could try out that version). As mentioned though, I've only just got the iFly - like 24 hours ago. I'm having quite a few technical difficulties with the set-up (not yet flyable - some crazy stuff happening!). So I've been back to FS2Crew-ing the 767 today...KTUS to KSFO with quite a few airports in between...UTX, Megascenery Earth, Vero_FS, REX2 and FS2Crew...sweet!I've just printed out the manual for the Ifly version of FS2Crew, so I'll have a read about all the extra things it can do via the SDK - sounds interesting. June 5, 201114 yr Tom, who is that in your Avatar? Don't tell me that's you! What, you don't like my beard, that it? :( That's Jacob Ellehammer - early aviation pioneer and contemporary of the Wright brothers, though not nearly as famous. Flew a triplane around 1907 and demonstrated a helicopter a few years later. June 5, 201114 yr I'm only switching the Fs2Crew off when I'm checking something or just want to train doing all the stuff alone. But especially the takeoff and landing phases are a treat with voice control and a plane which allows the FO to interact with e. g. the speeds and the heading. So the preference clearly goes to planes where this is possible, including the iFly, the Maddog and the J41 for example.I'm running the MD11 on button only (there's no voice) and experience some sort of downside but still enough enjoyment there, lacking of the voice flexibility. Almost the same goes for the 747, where you can't interact with the all MCP settings via voice.I know, we can't really blame Bryan there but it always needs a scapegoat, doesn't it? Most usable combos? Definitely "voice" + full SDK plane.I wished Captain Sim would offer some SDK or Flight Sim Labs would do for their Concorde, so that Bryan could offer some versions there. A 707 with a voice addon would be cloud #9 for me.
June 5, 201114 yr MD11 followed by JS41 voice. The latter is incredible however and has completely ruined the MD's outdated and button oriented version for me.

June 6, 201114 yr My number one is the J41 followed by PMDG 747. I am pretty sure that the i737 will creep up as number one or two soon.I haven't bought the PMDG MD11 because there isn't a voice version for it, and I am ONLY buying planes that support FS2Crew (preferably voice). In my opinion, the plane developers should pay Bryan to implement FS2Crew support for them. Also, they should be put up against the wall if they do not supply a SDK :)Helge Helge Rasmussen
June 6, 201114 yr That said, I really hoping Flight Sim Labs offers some kind of SDK for their upcoming Airbus.Mark those words! I hope Lefteris reads them. But since they had to start that Airbus right from the scratch, including some new approach on in the interaction of systems, this may be an option. Just assuming from their latest statements though.

I was kind of slow to buy my first voice support version, but once you get used to it... June 29, 201114 yr All I fly right now is the Wilco A320. I got it patched up and working perfectly and the FS2Crew edition for it is great. Right now it's just my great little 1hr/300nm flier. June 29, 201114 yr Maddog (by far the best experience of all the versions thus far!) 95%J41 3%ifly737 2% In that orderI also have the 767 version but never even booted it up yet :( The reason the 737 is that low is because I only just got it and still getting used to the flows. For some strange reason I have voice recognition issues with the iFly version but I'll redo the the training at some time and see if that helps.
