I am blown away. The texture quality is insane. Before I wasn't exactly jumping out of the seat for these features but after seeing this I am super excited for them. Vin, did you shoot this and if so what are you specs?

Hi Taylor,Yes, I captured this video using fraps at 1920x1200 full screen (fraps typically sucks quite a few frames).I built my PC in March of 2009. It's an i7 920, which I have OCed to 3.6 Ghz in the simplest way possible (set bios to auto .. I don't do voltages). For cooling I use a Corsair H50. The mother board is an Asus P6T Deluxe. For graphics, I have an EVGA GTX285 with 1GB. 12 GB of memory installed (recently upgraded from 6. The extra six helps a lot with Photoshop and other applications, but I really didn't notice any performance gain in FSX after upgrading). Onboard sound is disabled, and I have a Soundblaster Gamer Titanium something or other :(.

If your flight controls are deflected, ie: holding the yoke out of center detent, the AP won't engage.

HGS mode annunciator - the HGS is essentially its own self-contained flight director, so it has its own mode annunciations on that little panel - they're show in the HGS display itself too.

The airplane has to be in a specific state in real life before the autopilot will engage - namely, no manual control deflection taking place and in trim. Having the option off lets you engage it in an out of trim state, which some simmers might prefer if they're not skilled in trimming the plane out...

That video is smokin right there!! Love the way the console panels just seemlessly change back and forth. That in and of itself is a feat.

So you can't engage the AP in the middle of a turn unless you release the control column? or with strong winds/gusts forcing you to continually adjust control inputs to follow the flight director in a SID for example? hmmm, interesting

I have a question about multiplayer use of the NGX... When I sim online a big pet peeve of mine is the aircraft lights not syncing. If I have my lights set one way, and my buddy has his set one way, but in the sim, his plane would look completely dark... anyway....If this can be answered yet...Say I am flying the NGX online, and someone else in the session is as well... What version of their plane will I see? If they turn the satellite (or any external model feature) on and off during flight, would I also see those changes real time locally within my FSX?Looking good PMDG!
