June 7, 201114 yr Im sorry can you show us the NGX now?:( :( It really gives the impression that we're seeing the real thing in 1080p, doesn't it? Matheus Mafra
June 7, 201114 yr I'm so excited seeing all the careful thought and care you fellas put into the NGX, especially the airliner options. I'm logging some serious hours in the Chinese NG at the moment in preparation for the big day, and I am humbled by the NG's demand for real pilotage skills and I'm trying my best to get rid of bad habits I picked up from my previous experience with Flight Sim aircraft. For example, I now turn off the autothrottle when I disable autopilot on finals, whereas before I would leave autothrottle in control until flare. And the "other" NG will refuse to engage autopilot if you are not in trim, that is another skill I have started to master. Not only that, but that product's insistence on the user having a properly calibrated yoke setup (with a proper null zone, something I used to ignore with all other aircraft) will only add benefit to my future NGX experience. In the past, I maybe took too much advantage of automated flight, by enabling autopilot at the minimum altitude on takeoff and disabling it at flare, but I now go out of my way to practice real hand flying (and get my money's worth on my CH yoke purchase), I can't wait to see this practice rewarded when I hand fly the NGX using the HUGS system. June 7, 201114 yr I just spent 20 minutes to watch a 4.5 minute video! I couldn't help myself . Really great work guys. Oh, and when I saw the exterior view, I was practically gasping for air. It looks like CG! Stunning!EDIT: I also have a question (to anyone who knows the answer to): does the center console that the fsx default 737 has even exist (individual radios for each function; COM 1 and 2, NAV 1 and 2, etc) ? Or do the NGs only have a multiradio setup? Best regards, happy flying, Wallace
June 7, 201114 yr I have a question regarding airline options. Lets say, for example, that Virgin Blue has the sat antenna situated on the rear portion of the roof and has a specific setup of backup instruments. Will the exe file for installing the Qantas livery also set these options automatically so that when I load the aircraft in that livery, the sat antenna will be at the rear and those specific backup instruments will appear on the instrument panel? Or... will we need to choose these options individually for each individual airline and if this is the case, will these options be saved for that airline for the next time I fly with that livery? June 7, 201114 yr Did I just see an altimeter calibration static cone on the tail of that thing? Never seen that on an FS aeroplane before.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
June 7, 201114 yr Commercial Member Did I just see an altimeter calibration static cone on the tail of that thing? Never seen that on an FS aeroplane before.AlYeah you did, its a flight test static line and drogue, can be enabled via FMC. I guess we're the first to implement a flight test package for an FS add-on aircraft.Cheers, Jason Brown - Exterior Model Engineer,http://www.precisionmanuals.comSpecs: MSI Z97 Gaming 7 | Intel i7 4970K OC @ 4.6GHz | Gigabyte GTX970 G1 4GB | 16GB (2X8GB) G.Skill Trident | Corsair Air 540 White Case | Corsair AX750 750W PSU | 27" Samsung SyncMaster 275T+ | 27" Samsung S27D850 | 13" Wacom Cintiq | Windows 10 Professional x64

June 7, 201114 yr Does it actually function? surely not!!!AlI don't know if this considered a functional item, looks like it's more a cosmetic thing. They showed a inflight picture months ago, and it was flying in the air, so it must have it's own "flight model" as well! A.J. Domingo
June 7, 201114 yr Commercial Member Does it actually function? surely not!!!AlYeah it does function but it doesn't provide data, it has its own animation which is pretty slick for a simple item. I don't mind researching airliners.net to get the answers, but it would be best if the livery installer does all the work. I don't see how they won't allow the installer to have this capability, as it would make the most sense and add value to whole airliner option package. Since they have access to Boeing documents, surely PMDG knows which options match the airline being simulated. A.J. Domingo
June 7, 201114 yr What about the sound made by the analog standby instruments!!!!!!!!! Amazing!!! I cant stop smiling!!!!
