All,Long-time lurker, first time poster...Very much looking forward to the 737NGX. PMDG has done a fantastic job with the pics and videos to whet our appetites!As I've never purchased a PMDG product before, I'm just wonder the best path to purchasing the product? I have a SimMarket account but also would consider purchasing through PMDG's store. Any benefit to either or an alternative? Is getting it on CD/DVD an option? Or does it really matter at all?Thanks!Sherm

If you want it on/near release day you'll have to buy it from a PMDG store. There will be a boxed version, but not until ~6 months after release.

Buy directly from PMDG website and burn the file to whatever you want (CD, DVD, external disk, flash drive et etc etc). No reason to overcomplicate things...

I made a desicion to buy direct after release. I don't want to wait again for shortly 6 months :angry:I save the boxed version, I also have MD-11, B747 in boxed version. After 6 months I buy the boxed version again

I wish the boxed version comes out on te day of release.Anyway one big question, how do you make add on planes? You guys at pmdg use 3DMax but what else do you have to do? It must be real complicating stuff

I recall buying the 744 packaged with AoA's training. I'm wondering if there will be a similar opportunity with this release.If not it's no big deal, I don't mind paying full retail for both products.

would assume so. If the prices are the same, the profit for the other store has to come from somewhere.

Hi all in the forumA couple of points to consider.1. I remember a thread on here when a retailer was selling a PMDG product very cheap compared to the PMDG shop and replies from the team said that they had no control on what retailers that sell their products charge for them, so you could get a good deal from that method.2. I only buy from the PMDG shop because I believe and someone put me right if this is not correct, but if say a version 2 came out soon after release for whatever reason, would the box set be updateable immediately or do you have to wait till the suppliers have the new version, also do PMDG support the box version on this forum and ticket system, or is that the responsibility of the box set supplier? Guys-Buy it from PMDG directly. box version serves no logical purpose, other than asthetics. Put it on a flash drive. done. Its really simple.Furthermore- it defies logic that anyone would wait, when they can have it right away.
