July 5, 201114 yr I just happened to come across this thread, and it cost me $104. :( Definitely worth it, I had been eyeballing that B52 for weeks.
July 5, 201114 yr So, is the 707 currently available for just $9.99?EDIT: That looks like an offer that I can't resist. I love the older airliners, and I guess that the Captain Sim 707 is one of the very best? Is there an option for a "clean" VC? In other words, no wear and tear? July 5, 201114 yr C130 FTW - the "all in one" pack is INSANELY priced. I had to do it. I also got the 707 (skipped the military models).Nice.Agree with you.Could not believe nearly Euros 80 knocked off so had to snap it.It was too good a bargain to miss even though I already have the 707.Chewing on the B-52.......still time.Just out of interest in case anyone is the wiser.Prior to this firecreek sale, the other 707 packs asides from the Base Pack were offered at the current Euros 9.99.Will that still remain so after this 24-hour offer? July 5, 201114 yr Moderator Chewing on the B-52.......still time.Yep, 2 hours and 45 minutes left.I'm still trying to decide if I should get the 757 or not. After reading their 757 forum and seeing what some of the issues are that people have reported, I am not sure if even at the reduced price its worth bothering with. I really prefer to get something that is virtually trouble free as have been the case for me with PMDG and LDS birds in the airliners category, but then again they cant be had for under $15. July 5, 201114 yr You may get it for 9,99 and wait till ver 4.5 is released. CS said somewhere this will be the first in their updates line. Anyway I do not experience any showstopping bugs with their 757. Regards,Stan
July 5, 201114 yr I had contemplated their 757 but having bought it for FS9 and seeing that their support was poor then, and I think I bought an FSX upgrade but never quite got around to doing anything about it,and having read of the issues some users were having opted instead for the QW757 which has not let me down, touch wood. Anyway I do not experience any showstopping bugs with their 757.The main thing I was worried about was that one or more people mentioned CTD related to entering the STAR or approach in the FMC. Also it looks as though there is no way to assign buttons to any of the autopilot functions other than what FSX offers by default. I though I might be able to do that thru FSUPIC but I though I read that FSUPIC button assignments wont work in the CaptSim 757. I might be wrong however or misunderstood what I read on the subject of key/joystick assignments.Good idea about buying at the discount price then waiting until v4.5 is released. July 5, 201114 yr All button related settings on the 757 now can easily be made through LINDA. No more FSUIPC cryptic, but a very useful interface and free (to donate).
July 5, 201114 yr Well I've broken my vow of "no more payware" (unless it's RealAir..) and bought the 707. Always wanted a good rendition of a favourite airliner and for £9.99 I'm prepared to take the risk this time :( Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM. July 5, 201114 yr Insufficient Rights Please note you must be checked-in with valid Order Number in order to request some product related content. Please return to Your Profile and select correct product from a list of your purchases. Thank youHaving just purchased the B-52 Driver just before the sale ended, and having a valid Order No.,and having activated online, can somebody please explain what this nonsense is when trying to obtain some repaints for the B-52 from my Profile? It's nonsense like this that alienates buyers. Rick Almeida

If you look at the LDS and PMDG forums you'll see similar problems with PMDG aircraft and the LDS767. I have the CS757 and have absolutely no problems with the aircraft, just like the PMDG aircraft and the LDS767. I think CS is up to Version 4 of the 757 which indicates they have looked at reported problems and fixed them. It's one of my favorite aircraft. AVSIM has an unofficial CS forum which has resolved many user issues.Best regards,Jim

After I installed it I spent some time deleting the majority of the liveries, then spent some time trying to find a good American Airlines paint which was a little more difficult than I expected. Once the AA paint was installed (an FS9 paint I think) and I mip mapped all the textures I was off. I did get a little surprise when I started FSX and was okay'ing the guages. Apparently it installs and/or overwrites any version of FSUIPC that you have installed. I was completely unaware of it coming with an unregistered version of FSUIPC otherwise I would have backed up the version I was using. It was ok though, I was able to find the beta version I had been using in my back up drive and replaced it with the one CS installed.Anyways, to make a long stoty short, I flew it back and fourth from KDFW to KFLL 2 times and it worked really well. Frankly, it was a lot better than I expected to be honest. The only issue I did seem to have was with the VNAV descent once I got to 10,000' it didn't want to go down to the next hard altitude I had set, so I had to use v/s instead. I didn't have any CTD's or anything else weird happen however and I enjoyed the 4 flights. I do hope that they can do something about the interior VC lighting because it was a little bright at night. Of course it's not the best airliner I own, but I am glad I went ahead and got it. I was happy that I could jump in and fly without having to read too much since it operates so similar the the LDS767.Now I just need the NGX and I will be all set. July 6, 201114 yr I bought the 767, it seemed to install OK and asked for my order number during the process. When I loaded it up within FSX, however, about half of the instruments (PFD, pilots MFD, vert speed indicator etc) are black and/or non-functional. I tried a reinstall and reactivation to see if that would help. There website shows the plane was activated twice (my two install attempts) but still the plane does not function completely. I am also a little supspicious of its flight model as I was easily able to do barrel rolls in the 767. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix this situation?
