But dust storms during the monsoon season can occur occasionally.Oh, ok then. Northeast Texas isn't quite desert country, so I'd never seen anything like that. July 7, 201114 yr I saw on the news a plane going into the storm!! can a plane fly in a sand storm?The private jet I was on ( a Falcon Dassault 2000) did when we flew into Damascus last year.I must say that it wasen't of the magnitude of the Phoenix Storm above but we couldn't see anything!I was surprised because I always tought you couldn't, but we did and I'm still alive to tell... :(...thank God!
