My GUESS is that the requirements will be a 2.5 ghz dual core and a 512 mb graphics card. The cheapest systems money can buy these days are around 2.5 ghz dual cores. My copy of FSX Gold actually says 2 ghz, which is not much better than 1 ghz in that it still is not enough. Considering that Flight is supposed to be better optimized and it has been many years since FSX, 2.5 seems reasonable. Also, they might make it so that a quad core can run a slower speed (so that a system like mine might actually run it!), who knows? Also, regarding graphics, 512 is double what it used to be, so for a minimum graphics setting it seems reasonable. 2 gigs of ram base seems ok as well, again because no system you buy these days will have less than that. Any thoughts?

Sounds reasonable that the minimum specs would be for a low end system that would be available today. Of course that would be for lower settings on the sim. I just have to believe that the development team's project leadership has a goal of very good performance on lower end systems. I actually think it will run better than FSX when comparing apples to apples visually.

Tooooo funny, I did not know MS had a magic one....:( seriously... Flight will run on a 2.5GHz processor including HD add-ons sceneries .....:( ....you guys care to tell me why Crysis 2, Metro 2033 or another game using today's hardware with today's engine can't do the same....oh boy, MS will break some hearts.....you guys are in for a good ride...:(

HelloHow would you know?
Ummmmmm....... something called a Non Disclosure Agreement that all Beta testers sign BEFORE beginning testing. The same type of statement that we signed before attending a certain Development Conference in Seattle, WA, sponsored by Microsoft and AVSIM.

Ok, well, depending on which version of FSX you buy, the box says either 1 ghz or 2 ghz spec... well guess what? Neither will run addons. That is the MINIMUM. We all know that all of those fancy addons require at least a 3ghz multicore, if not one of those new fancy 4.8 ghz i5/7 computers. 2.5 ghz is a good baseline, assuming the following... 1.) they learned their lesson and will actually list semi-usable specs, 2.) as tech becomes more advanced, the base requirements become greater, and 3.) it is better optimized for modern hardware, considering that Flight will likely hold some of the vestiges of FSX.and the reason why the rest look amazing and FSX doesnt? Because FSX is basically a nice and pretty version of software from the dialup era. We know all of this.... and it will be an awesome ride, because Flight will be better than the **** that is FSX.

What you said is true for FSX with all sliders to the left...Try this, run FSX only without addons with a 4 core 3.3GHz processor with ALL sliders to the right + and all boxes ticked, make a vid. of your flight over New York city and show us how FSX run....Flight will raise the bar with developer's HD add-ons, so wait for Flight and you'll understand what I'm talking about, I'm telling you, don't hold on to your E 6750 + GT 8800 and 3GB of rams, trust me on this one.
Again, all that info is rumored. The Flight wiki page was done by people who are only guessing.
Unfortunately, I sometimes get the feeling that the Microsoft Flight page is done by people who are only guessing!! :oRegards, Mike Mann

I know that. I said that it was a minimum requirement in my last post. And I would love to have an E6750 machine, because my laptop cant really run FSX. Look at my specs... trust me, I know just how poorly FSX runs.I dont really know what we are arguing over...

Now you sound like my wife....:( just kidding, we are not arguing, we are probably saying the same thing using different words......same with my wife..:(
