FSDreamteam's Hawaiian Airports Volume 2 released

Featured Replies

FSDreamteam has released their Hawaiian Airports Volume 2. There are discounts available for the owners of PHNL and Vol. 1. See their forums and the release announcement in their Hawaiian support for FSX. I also bought some photoreal scenery from Newport last week which was discounted the two pair quite nicely. I hope that they will cover all the islands eventually which will be great for Island hopping. Happy Hopping! Big%20Grin.gif

It was a surprise. I have been so absorbed in other, eh hem releases. That this one slipped my mind. I knew they were working on it. In fact when I purchased the scenery from Newport I thought that they will go nice when FSD finally gets around to releasing Vol.2!

Hi,I already purchased their Honolulu International airport and was looking to purchase both Hawaiian Airports Volumes #1 and #2. My total cost is $57.75. I'll be paying more for four airports than I would for all five at a price of $56.70.That's a bargain for returning customers?. I'm a big fan of FSDT, but their pricing program stinks. Where's the reward for return customers?.I own just about every piece of software they put out and I'm looking to further support them by purchasing the rest of the Hawaiian series, yet someone who has not supported their Hawaiian project(s) are getting a better deal than their loyal returning customers.

I'll reply here the same reply you got on our forum:It's fairly normal than one that purchases several products together in the same order, will get an higher discount than those that already used a previously purchased one for some time.It happens every time with bundles that includes old and new products together (movies, games) sometimes it's cheaper to purchase the compilation, even if it includes something you already have, than to buy the missing items only.I've checked your PHNL order, and you DID qualify for the promotion we had when Hawaii 1 was launched, that the first PHNL purchaser could get it at 50% discount. This was discussed on the forum when Hawaii 1 was first announced, and we sent emails to all that qualified for that offer when it was released, your email was on the list, so you already had your chance to get a significant discount on Hawaii 1 as a "loyal/returning customers", and if you took it, as an owner of both PHNL+Hawaii1, it would allowed you to get Hawaii 2 at higher discount too. We made the offer as it is now, assuming the most loyal customers (those that purchase a product as soon as it's released) wouldn't have passed the 50% Hawaii1 offer for early PHNL purchasers when we made it.

Hi,I never received any email offer/notice from FSDT and I do check and clean my spam folder on a weekly basis, so the offer didn't end up in the spam folder. As for the forum, I don't spend much time there, as a matter of fact I have less that 13 hours logged in since I registered back in 2008.I can wait on the Hawaiian series, I'll end up purchasing them "if-and-or-when" they go on sale. But I'm not going to purchase them when I can get all five packages at a price that is lower than the four packages it will take to complete the series. Nor am I going to purchase the same airport again just to get a lower price.

Thanks for the HU on this. The iFly SP1 and some more short hop destinations around Hawaii beautifully come together. I've just bought Vol. 2. :smile:I have special memories about Kona, lets see if the nice rendition in the sim can revive some of them.

Well, it would be best if we continue this discussion on one place only, doesn't make any sense to post the same messages here and on our forum.

At least you know we do sales every now and then. In fact, after you purchased PHNL, we had several sales, one in May 2010, another one at Christmas 2010, and the last one in May 2011, so you had 3 other chances to purchase Hawaii1 at a discount, that would get you a better price on Hawaii2 today. In any case, as I've already told you on the forum, we REMOVED the deadline we had on that offer for previous PHNL customers, this means you can STILL purchase Hawaii1 at 50% discount now, and then purchase Hawaii2 with a better discount.if there's anyone in the same situation ( purchased PHNL before Feb 15th 2010 and hasn't received the email with the promotion ), let us know, we'll resend the emails with the offer details.

Very nice and as a loyal customer who ownes both previous Hawaii releases, I get the deal.

Umberto and FSDT, really top notch support for your customers, other companies should follow your lead.

And giving support on other forums. I do not always agree with Umberto (most times I do) but I can give him kudos, when the bell rings he answers! Love these loyal customers promotions too. Not many offer that deal...

Hi,That's a good bargain for a returning customer, I've just purchased the Hawaiian Airports Vol.#1 for $17.50. Since KLAX is just about done, the question now becomes, do I purchase Volume #2 at $24.50 or wait on the release of KLAX and purchase them together.I'll more than likely purchase sometime today, the savings if any will only be a few dollars. Like I've said many times in the past, I don't mind supporting quality addons from companies that support my hobby. Opening up the 50% discount was a nice gesture on Umberto's part, something he did not have to do. So I'll also buy Volume #2 today, instead of waiting on KLAX.Thanks Umberto

So, I guess you'll visit the forum more often now, if only to know about a possible sale...in any case, there's probably a way to fix this, we REMOVED the deadline we had on that offer for previous PHNL customers, this means you can STILL purchase Hawaii1 at 50% discount now, and then purchase Hawaii2 with a better discount.

Nice example for the equation of loyalty on the one side forming up loyalty on the other one. That's how it's done. :smile:And, by the way, nice work on the Vol.2 airports. I've e. g. combined PHOG with some freeware landclass for Maui (it covers the whole island, fsx_maui_lc.zip) from the Avsim library and I'm doing tons of short hops with the 737-600 now.
