July 25, 201114 yr Do you think you could get me some bits? :) Was thinking about building one for the ngx and yes your right, its alot cheaper over in the states then it is here in nz! Cameron Lett
July 25, 201114 yr You will not have any improvements when using an SSD drive except that during loading of a selected flight it in fact will be faster (like Juniper said above). However, its the truth 9except with the new Z68 boards out where SSD is the cache disk and u use the FSX on the HDD) that the performance is crippled as of the nature of an SSD by fragmenting your texture files etc randomly and for a flight simulation like FSX this results in a performance issue!cheers Stephan Faessler // designer, painter P1 // vACC Switzerland Controller impulseai
July 25, 201114 yr Not a fan of SSD's. Unreliable and expensive for a couple more seconds to get into a game quicker... Running i5-9600K @ 4.8ghz - 32GB DDR4 3200mhz - GTX 3070.
July 25, 201114 yr Talking bout that rig..Anyone with that configuration getting black screens after long flights? I can't have any autogen/ water textures without having the sim crap out after a long pmdg flight...
July 25, 201114 yr Corsair: H60 cpu water coolerNoctua NHD-14, awesome cooler. If it will fit in your case. If you must have the Corsair - perhaps you need the space - Then the H80 is available and the H100 soon. [Noisy though, the Noctua is quiet]Martin Wilby
July 30, 201114 yr Yeah your right ive installed the Frame limiter, great very smooth, the only thing i find is when you start FSX with the correct icon of course is you get acmd screen pop up. is this right i guess you just have to close that
July 30, 201114 yr It's alright, but as far as I know you don't have to close it...that window IS the limiter. Fabrizio Sassi

July 30, 201114 yr There's another limiter called antilag, in case you want to try itYes, I told him I'd send it to him, and I got about 20 others who wanted me to send it to them. TBH, I forgot about it. To all those wh requested it: I'm sorry it's taken so long, but just go to: http://www.kegetys.net/dl.php/d3d_antilag101.zipOnce it's downloaded, Extract, Drop both files into your FSX main directory, Open up the antilag.cfg file, you should see two settings...set the input latency part of it to 0 and use the other part to set the framerate. (ie. 30, 40, whatever)Now you just start FSX and you're good to go. (For those who had the Limiter 0.2 where you have to run a batch file, you no longer have to use this method. Just abandon it, and start FSX normally.) Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)
July 30, 201114 yr Just make sure you do not put them in your checked bag flying home and what ever you do don't ask them to put a fragile sticker on it. I'm a ramper ;) -Travis I hope you're joking! If you're not and that's what goes on then you and your colleagues should be ashamed of yourselves. Iain Smith
