July 28, 201114 yr Since the new forum upgrade I am having issues signing in. When I click the sign in button nothing happens. I was able to sign in thru the AVSIM online page and then select forums tab and then sign in. Then just now when signing in I got a AVSIM.net driver error, but eventually was able to sign in. Is there anything I need to do on my end to sign in? Jim Jim Wenham

July 30, 201114 yr i don't use a bookmark, but still have problems signing in. It seems to have a difficult time getting a response from the button.

July 30, 201114 yr I don't have the forums bookmarked (I do have the main avsim page bookmarked) and deleted cookies but still can't sign in. The only way I can sign in is if I go into one of the forums (like the help using the avsim forums forum) and sign in from there. I am using Windows 7 home premium 64 bit if that makes a difference.
July 30, 201114 yr Windows 7 64 here. This time I had no problem signing in from this page. The mystery continues.

July 31, 201114 yr The login uses a popup - why I don't know - right click on the login button and choose open in a new tab or similar. You are correct, I want to say (from my limited coding experience) this is a javascript pop up as it doesn't open a new window, rather it opens up a prompt within the current window. I can see where maybe some configurations can have an issue with this. Try adding forum.avsim.net to your trusted list? I use FireFox on Vista 64bit and had no issues (even with no security exceptions made in browser). August 1, 201114 yr Hi, I have the same problem with Firefox 5.0 (Windows 7 32 and 64bit) I've tried adding both forum.avsim.net and forums1.avsim.net both will not allow me to login from the main AVSIM Forum page, I am forced to go to a sub forum, press sign in and then I get the popup box. On the main page, all I see is a small light green box with three small boxes in it like its loading and then it just disappears. Its really annoying, since I have to type in my email address and password every time I restart Firefox and go to AVSIM's forums, saving it does nothing. August 2, 201114 yr Hi, Firefox is setup to delete cookies every time I shut it down. However, I went an manually removed the cookies and restarted Firefox, same problem. All I see is a small light green box (top center of the screen) with three small boxes in it like its loading and then it just disappears. Go into the firefox cookie manager and delete anything related to avsim, both .com and .net and see if that clears up your problem.
